Weekly Rune & Moon for 6-12 October 2019

We’re beginning a new week and with everything going on lately, I’m eager to look at the rune and astrological influences. Fortuna Major is this week’s significator suggesting lesser fortune or progress made, but possibly incomplete. A closer view of the reading appears below:

Sunday, governed by the Sun has a six energy today creating the space for Higher Self guidance and influence while Eihwaz, the thirteenth rune from the Elder Futhark provides the link between Spirit and physical form. For most of the day and evening, responsibilities call requiring a disciplined approach so that when Aquarius takes over in the latter part of the evening, we’re ready for something more creative, perhaps with someone new you’ve been keeping to yourself.

The Moon in Aquarius suggests that although we may be uncomfortable expressing feelings, the opportunity may arise today for healing in that regard. Intuition is strong as well today as is our need to find emotional balance. This is a day for letting go of rigidity with others and embrace harmony.

Tuesday, 8 October

A focus on increased harmony with others is favored today with all aspects above in synchronicity to provide the greater impetus for success. Given the eight energy today, issues of practicality are in play and this is where justice-oriented Libra comes in to level the playing field, at least in terms of our perspective. Human Design’s Dedication describes the understanding that something greater is at issue here and that a vigilant approach, undeterred by the influence of others, is required. Whether this is describing something personal or what is occurring in our country at this time, clarity is necessary going forward.

• Astro Moon position – in Aquarius until 9:05 AM PDT; Pisces at 9:06 AM PDT suggesting increased emotions and empathic awareness

We experience increased empathic awareness today which, if we pay attention, should guide our perceptions when interacting with others. Communication is favored on this Mercury day and Kenaz provides the clarity necessary to awaken our interactions with others and speak truth to power. But the day’s nine numerology describes an ending of sorts perhaps signaling an end to or shift away from conflict with others. A new direction or path is not only needed but required at this point, founded on a fundamental respect for individual differences.

Intuition and empathic awareness increases today with Jupiter’s expansive influence and Thurisaz’s fiery effect breaking through any obstacles in our path. The commitment to a new path we made on Wednesday signaled a change in direction toward greater integration with others and today, we express the leadership necessary to achieve that goal. It’s a sense of endings and beginnings that we feel and the regenesis of our shared purpose.

The Piscean influence may be at odds with the spiritual warrior within if emotions are in flux. Instead, make use of intuition and empathic awareness to bring balance or justice to a situation where not all are on the same page or share the same level of commitment. Realize that the expression of doubt doesn’t mean an end to the process. With the presence of Tiwaz, we have the self-discipline to stay the course, right the ship and prevail.

Saturn’s energy of resistance provides the space to challenge dark forces that still wish to find their purchase in our lives. However, with Othala, a great awakening has occurred and we’re not going to succumb to the forces of darkness any longer. The way is clear to move past the damage and the deception that has clouded our path and we’re ready now to witness the truth.

Overall Thoughts

Whether this week’s influences apply to our personal lives or they apply to something greater, it really does feel like we’ve gained some ground this week centering on awareness and perception. We may have turned a corner as we now see through the distortions and lies we’ve been expected to believe thus far.

The week has a feeling of endings and beginnings, and again, whether or not this applies personally or to what we’re all collectively experiencing with the current occupant in the Oval Office, something has shifted and as more facts come out, our path forward will be forever changed.

Baby steps…but be aware that at some point, it will likely be baby steps on steroids.
