Weekly Rune and Moon ~ 20-26 October 2019

As a new week begins, let’s take a look at the upcoming influences. Caput Draconis is the overall significator suggesting a week where we experience new beginnings or a new direction. As always, I’m looking at each day’s numerology, Elder Futhark rune, and Moon information derived from both traditional astrology and Human Design’s use of the I Ching. The runes appear below.

Sunday, 20 October

• Numerology – 20/2 – duality, polarity, balance, reason, causation, Moon, Aquarius
• Day – Sunday is a day governed by the Sun reflecting success, joy, protection, power, confidence, and health
• Rune – Perthro (14) – birth, womb, chance, well of Wyrd, childbirth, healing, understanding fate, cause/effect, synchronicity, cauldron, divination, Water
• Human Design (I Ching) Moon position – Gate 52, Line 4 Self-discipline describes the inner awareness for restraint and focus
• Astro Moon Position – Cancer (emotional, nurturing, solitary, prefers smaller groups); learning to flow with emotional cycles is challenging as is forgiveness.

Sunday is a day for returning to balance with both a two numerology present and the Moon in emotional and nurturing Cancer. Perthro’s healing effect may assist us in understanding the greater picture behind our emotions with the I Ching influence of self-discipline supporting our transformation, particularly if self-confidence has been difficult to maintain due to unhealthy boundaries with others. Forgiveness of self and others is necessary.

Monday, 21 October

• Numerology – 21/3 – catalyst, triple aspects, mind/body/Spirit alignment, imagination, Hecate, triangle, 3 Norns of Fate, Jupiter, Capricorn
• Day – Monday is a day governed by the Moon and involves healing and intuition along with feminine magicks

• Human Design (I Ching) Moon position – Gate 53 Line 6 Phasing uses the past as a foundational influence on the present, i.e. building on each stage of life.
• Astro Moon position – nurturing Cancer until 9:29 AM PDT when it moves into dynamic, social, and expressive Leo. You may take center stage today.

Leo’s influence today may help reinforce Sunday’s focus on healing and emotional balance, utilizing the catalytic energy of the day’s three numerology to take charge and move forward. The same lion energy aligns well with the I Ching influence of phasing as we build on lessons from the past to assure our success going forward. Isa’s energy of contraction allows for will development, eliminating choices that interfere with a positive outcome.

Tuesday, 22 October

• Day – Tuesday is governed by Mars and is filled with passion and energy
• Rune – Jera (12/3) – transformation, balance, give and take, cycles, herbalism, gardening, unfolding awareness, energetic alignment, year, fertility 
• Human Design (I Ching) Moon position – Gate 31 Line 3 Selectivity describes the awareness to associate with those who provide the greatest influence and to respond in a manner that promotes success.
• Astro Moon position – Leo (dynamic, social, attention-seeking, expressive, warm, generous); leadership skills and creativity are favored.

Tuesday is a special day indeed with Master Number 22, also known as the Cosmic Builder, influencing. You’ll note that I didn’t reduce the number to four because Master Numbers 11, 22, and 33 are typically left as they are, their power magnified by their dual, repetitive nature. A Mars day as well, its natural energetic quality assists us in our alignment with others, fostering the selectivity indicated by the Human Design/I Ching Moon position suggesting a successful collaboration with others today. Leo’s warm and social nature should provide the underlying foundation for harmony and build on the 22’s profound creative impetus. So with all of the above in mind, what shall we co-create today?

Wednesday, 23 October

• Day – Wednesday is governed by Mercury and involves communication, reason, and intellectual expression
• Rune – Berkano (18/9) – fertility, birth, family, protection, new beginnings, healing, growth, projects to fruition, birch tree, Earth
• Human Design (I Ching) Moon position – Gate 7 Line 6 The administrator provides for equitable distribution of power
• Astro Moon position – Leo until 12:30 PM PDT when the Moon moves into detail-oriented and focused Virgo. Attention to detail is favored today; however, avoid fussiness or pettiness.

As our collaboration with others continues, a leader may emerge who excels at project management and is detail-oriented. Perhaps the inner healing that began on Sunday reflects the change suggested by today’s numerology of five as we achieve a better emotional state and establish more realistic boundaries with others. Vying for position or control isn’t favored today. Maintain harmony and go with the flow.

Thursday, 24 October

• Numerology – 24/6 – Higher Self, harmony, balance, perfection, benevolence, peace, health, truth, marriage, rebirth, Merkaba, Venus, Taurus.
• Day – Thursday is governed by Jupiter and involves expansion and benevolence
• Rune – Othala (24/6) – sacred space, ancestral heritage, Akash, protection, prosperity, balance, loyalty, tradition, security, peace, inheritance, possessions. 
• Human Design (I Ching) Moon position – Gate 59 Line 3 Openness describes deriving inner power and security through harmony and unity with others. Boundaries are more fluid in nature.
• Astro Moon position – Virgo (detail-oriented, focused, health-conscious); intuition may assist if health concerns arise today.

A six numerology today suggests a Higher Self focus, again with balance and harmony the outcome. Jupiter’s energy is expansive and benevolent, reinforcing the I Ching’s message of openness. The difference with this type of influence over yesterday’s establishing of more realistic boundaries with others, the fluid boundaries relating to openness has more to do with the general ease found in the collaborative group dynamic. In other words, interactions flow well and rigid boundaries aren’t necessary. With Othala’s presence, the group experience likely provides more of a sacred space feeling to the group process. An in truth, it’s the effect of Tuesday’s Cosmic Builder energy manifesting within the group experience.

Friday, 25 October

• Human Design (I Ching) Moon position – Gate 47 Line 1 Taking Stock suggests letting go of negative thinking
• Astro Moon position – Virgo until 1:20 PM PDT when it moves into balanced Libra (social, harmonious, partnerships, but indecisive); we may try to seek a peaceful outcome with little concern for our own sovereignty or dignity. Indecisiveness may occur.

As we move into a magickal Friday with its seven numerology we continue our theme of healing and new beginnings. As we continue to grow in our newfound cohesion with others, we’re ready to let go of negative attitudes and behaviors that interfere with a productive and unified experience. The influence of Thurisaz breaks through any negativity, clearing away any inner chaos that might remain. Caution is advised, however, against losing ground given the Moon in Libra’s influence. This placement may create the space for indecisiveness leading to potential boundary issues with others so be aware and protect the progress you’ve made.

Saturday, 26 October

• Human Design (I Ching) Moon position – Gate 46 Line 5 Pacing describes staying true to accepted rhythmic patterns that produce positive results.
• Astro Moon position – Libra – we may feel driven toward organization to foster motivation today. Also, we may be reluctant to speak truth to power today.

With Raidho’s influence, the process is favored over the goal today as we slow things down somewhat and take a closer look at how things are progressing. Whether this relates to our new collaborative direction this week or catching up on personal responsibilities, it’s best to stay within your natural rhythm today so that motivation doesn’t suffer. Given that the Moon remains in Libra today, we may be hesitant to speak truth to power, so this may be a day to focus on responsibilities and routine tasks.

Overall Thoughts

It’s not always easy to work within a group of people. Typically, someone, or several someones, rises to the top of the group to become the leader which can initially have an uncomfortable effect on group interactions. It may work out or it may produce nothing but conflict if boundaries are disrespected.

But this week suggests that some healing has taken place and we’re ready to collaborate with others, perhaps in a way that allows us to both establish and preserve healthier boundaries in the process. Caput Draconis, our geomancy significator for the week, indicates an exploration of new beginnings or new directions. By establishing and maintaining healthy boundaries with others, an unlimited range of new experiences are possible.
