Eventful Days Ahead
I had graduated from high school by the time Nixon resigned. I took early graduation, completing high school at the end of my junior year, so I was only sixteen when the country was faced with impeaching a president. Now, some forty-five years later, we’re set to impeach the 45th President of our country, an interesting synchronicity itself.
I set the time for today’s chart at 7:00 AM PST reflecting the time of today’s House Judiciary Committee meeting. Chairman Nadler chose to vote on the Articles of Impeachment this morning, instead of voting last night, avoiding the inevitable charge of doing it in the dark of night. Needless to say, that didn’t sit well with the Republicans, but when one doesn’t have any facts to offer, it is what it is.
Hissy fits aside, I wanted to look at today’s chart to gain some insight into the eventful days ahead. This is a solemn time for this country as we impeach the current president. But for many, it’s been a long time coming and it’s good to see this resolved, no matter the outcome.

An initial look at the chart suggests that with so many planets in the 1st House, self-expression is important along with partnerships finding their expression with the Moon in Gemini and the 7th House. So, it’s fairly certain that interactions between close associates may be impacted today and going forward.
An opposition between the Moon and Ceres (Orb 1°47′) warns that aggression may be directed toward women as this aspect suggests that feeling misunderstood is at the heart of the conflict. This aspect cautions that the president may increase his attacks on women to offset any fear or rage over the impeachment process.
Feeling misunderstood seems to be at the core of his defense, as well as defensiveness. He already believes the Constitution allows him to do whatever he pleases. He’s incorrect on that front, but it doesn’t seem to matter. He states continually that the investigations into him are unfair and then engages in nothing more than revisionist history as he tries to redefine the truth to anyone who might listen.
While the president is coping with his new reality, the rest of us will be accessing our intuition to wade through the information we’ve been tasked with processing. Although the ultimate responsibility lies with the Senate to either convict or not, the remainder of the country will need to evaluate all that we’ve learned and then decide the fate of lawmakers involved next year at the ballot box. The Moon conjunct the North Node (Orb 0°23′) suggests that we follow our intuition and align in our inner truth.

The Sun in Sagittarius and the 1st House involves self-expression that resonates both optimism and ethics. The energy is expansive and for that reason, I feel it’s describing a momentum toward illumination and truth. Although the integrity of some has been sacrificed in service to deception, their tactless behavior has been on display for all to experience, informing the ultimate direction we take.
We’ve also witnessed the impact of group process over the last weeks as we’ve watched Republicans stand together without any reason to do so which Mercury in Sagittarius/12th House suggests. It’s the example given of lemmings all going in the same direction, each one taking its cue from the others, with no self-direction of their own to guide their path forward. The Republicans were tasked with one thing: obfuscate to the point that confusion is all that remains. It was never about the truth and time will tell if they were successful.
Reinforcing the obfuscation is Venus conjunct Pluto (Orb 0°00′) further defining relationships over this period as intense and dramatic with the expectation of loyalty hanging over everyone. Are they loyal to an alleged criminal, or are they loyal to the country and the Constitution? Are they even willing to debate what he’s done in an honest manner? Because so far, the answer to that question is a resounding no!
Shifting focus to the president in question, the Moon’s opposition with Ceres mentioned earlier adds depth to today’s semisquare between Mars and Jupiter. We’ve all witnessed the president’s demeaning comments and tweets toward women in particular. Yesterday, a young climate activist from Sweden, Greta Thunberg, was named Time magazine’s Person of the Year and the world didn’t have to wait long for his insulting response.

His unrestrained nature, unfiltered and oftentimes degrading, indicates an unwillingness to be governed by rules, societal or otherwise. Any decorum present in others who have occupied his position is absent in this man and no personal growth is possible other than financial enrichment, an impeachable act all on its own.
Conversely, at the other end of his narcissistic continuum, is a sesquisquare between Jupiter and Chiron (Orb 0°20′) describing feelings of inadequacy that prevent understanding or release. This man’s lack of self-awareness is on display every time he speaks preventing a greater understanding of his impact on others. Without that awareness any change is unlikely.
His lack of self-awareness also prevents a trine between Uranus and Jupiter from manifesting. He has the ability to achieve anything he wants, but a service-to-self focus ruins the outcome. This man has been placed in a position to bring a profound level of positive change to the country, yet instead, he prefers to destroy everything in his path in service to his own needs.
The answer for the country, however, may be found in today’s intercepted and duplicated signs. Virgo and Pisces are intercepted suggesting difficulty discriminating between reality and fantasy. The current occupant of the Oval Office listens only to his own thoughts, his own perspective, likely due to the private agenda that drives him. So, if something doesn’t fit with his own established narrative then it’s branded as fake news.

Taurus and Scorpio are duplicated in the 5th/6th and 11th/12th Houses respectively blending a practical nature with an intense focus while house positions involve creativity, work/routine, relationships, the unknown, and sabotage (by self or others).
Remaining focused on the outcome will be necessary during the days ahead. Relationships will continue to be threatened as more deception and obfuscation happens, but in the end, only the truth will matter. The chaos and dissension sowed will ultimately find no purchase as the reason for his impeachment becomes clear.
In the end, his own self-sabotage will be his undoing. It’s not about redoing an election. It’s about looking at the behavior of a president that does not reflect who we are as a people or a country. We’ve never been the sort of people who looked the other way. We’ve always cleaved unto a higher principle that speaks truth to power, demanding that integrity drive our shared experience.
The 45 is significant here as well. 45 reduces to 9, the number signifying completion and endings. Will we see an end to criminality in the White House with the impeachment of this man? Will we see an end to division and hate, having spent the last few years witnessing its devastating effect?
I believe we will. Life bends toward the Spirit within each of us. We will get there again, in unity with others, focused on a higher purpose, in service to all.
Blessed Be
