Weekly Rune & Moon for 29 Dec 2019 – 4 Jan 2020

As a new week begins, let’s take a look at the upcoming influences. Via is the overall significator suggesting a week where we define our own path. As always, I’m looking at each day’s numerology, Elder Futhark rune, and Moon information derived from both traditional astrology and Human Design’s use of the I Ching. The runes appear below.

Sunday, 29 December
- Numerology – 29/11 – Master Number – illumination, awakening
- Day – Sunday is a day governed by the Sun reflecting success, joy, protection, power, confidence, and health
- Rune – Thurisaz (3) – Fire, Thor’s Hammer, defense, new beginnings, protection, opposition, impulsive behavior, giants, chaos, weather magick
- Human Design (I Ching)Moon position – Gate 19 Line 3 Dedication describes easy relationships derived from acceptance by others
- Astro Moon Position – Aquarius – humanitarian, progressive, however, may have difficulty with the emotions of others
With Via as the significator for the week, we’re looking at charting our own course. And with Sunday’s Master 11 energy, wherever the journey may take us, we do so in full clarity and purpose, using the influence of Thurisaz to break through challenges we might face. The Moon positions from both the traditional chart and the Human Design bodygram suggest easy relationships with others, however, we may be uncomfortable should volatile emotions arise.
Monday, 30 December
- Numerology – 30/3 – catalyst, triple aspects, mind/body/Spirit alignment, imagination, Jupiter, Capricorn, Triad, Gamma, virtue, Hecate, past/present/future, triangle, 3 Norns of fate, Aum
- Day – Monday is a day governed by the Moon and involves healing and intuition along with feminine magicks
- Rune – Uruz (2) – Water, primal forming essence, health, endurance, healing, strength, aurochs, energy shaping matter
- Human Design (I Ching) Moon position –Gate 49 Line 4 Platform describes the establishment of a new order that preserves human rights
- Astro Moon position – Pisces at 7:42 AM PST – sensitive, kind, intuitive, focused, empathic, easily affected by the emotions of others, retreat if necessary
It appears that our new path may require some acceptance of the change that’s taking place. Uruz shapes the future, its primal forming essence providing the framework for what comes. In this case, our new path may have more to do with our collective awareness than, for example, a new position or new home. Instead, it seems our new path reflects a higher calling, perhaps taking a healing focus.

Tuesday, 31 December

- Day – Tuesday is governed by Mars and is filled with passion and energy
- Rune – Wunjo (8) – Earth, joy, wish rune, peace, fellowship, harmony, success, happiness
- Human Design (I Ching) Moon position – Gate 55 Line 5 Growth indicates the strength of leadership that embraces the input or advice of others without feeling threatened
- Astro Moon position – Pisces – sensitive, kind, intuitive, focused, empathic, easily affected by the emotions of others, retreat if necessary
With Tuesday’s passionate energy along with the day’s numerology of four, we move forward on our new path with an eye toward a new foundation based upon Wunjo’s message of fellowship, peace, and harmony with others. A sense of shared purpose is felt, even with those in authority. However, on this last day of 2019, if feeling stressed at all, take a moment for yourself and retreat to a calmer space. Let go of everything that no longer serves and prepare yourself to move happily into the future!
Wednesday, 1 January 2020

- Rune – Laguz (21) – Water, intuition, flow, harmony, clairsentience, occult, assertive, female, dream work, trance work, emotional balance, draw energy back to you, purification, cleansing
- Human Design (I Ching) Moon position – Gate 63 Line 6 Nostalgia reminds us to let go of doubt and to move forward with confidence
- Astro Moon position – Pisces until Aries at 8:01 PM PST – split energy day with an introverted approach transitioning to assertiveness in the evening
Continuing our Dagaz energetic shift from one year to the next, we do so with ease, using the flow of Laguz to move us along the path of harmony and peace. We’re reminded again to embrace the future, allowing all the negative from the past to drift away into nothingness, as we maintain a focus on integration and unity with others.
Today, on the first day of the new year, we move into a Master 22 energy that, as the Cosmic Builder, promises a soul-level change for the better. We transitioned from 2018’s Master 11 energy into catalyzing that awareness during 2019. And now, out of everything we’ve experienced, we’re ready to let go of the division and conflict manufactured by a select few and move forward together in shared purpose.

Thursday, 2 January
- Numerology – 2 – duality, polarity, balance, reason, causation, Dyad, Beta, Moon, Aquarius
- Day – Thursday is governed by Jupiter and involves expansion and benevolence
- Rune – Isa (11) – Norn rune of the present (Verdandi), ice, becoming, stillness, will development, contraction, focus, consciousness, freezing unwanted behavior or situations
- Human Design (I Ching) Moon position – Gate 36 Line 6 Justice describes the awareness that the light will always outshine the darkness
- Astro Moon position – Aries – direct, persuasive, active, quick temper, impulsive at times, pioneer, nervous
Thursday’s expansive Jupiter influence may align well with the persuasive influence of the Moon in Aries thus propelling us down the path to reunion and harmony with others. We take no prisoners on our quest for a better experience with others, in fact learning to see others as the other side of self instead of simply the other which has damaged relationships for so long.
Isa’s appearance suggests that some will development may be required, but the impetus is there as is the space to balance our polarity with others. Again, polarity isn’t an expression of an us versus them perspective, but the awareness that it’s not an either/or situation at all, but the understanding that each of us is the other side of the same coin with others.
Friday, 3 January

- Day – Friday is governed by Venus and involves love, balance, and harmony
- Rune – Fehu (1) – Fire, wealth, abundance, cattle, life force, sending energy for magickal workings, growth, success
- Human Design (I Ching) Moon position – Gate 21 Line 1 The Last Resort describes the reluctant use of force almost to the point of needing permission
- Astro Moon position – Aries – direct, persuasive, active, quick temper, impulsive at times, pioneer, nervous
Fehu is a complex rune in that it not only represents abundance and wealth, but it’s also useful as the sending rune to cast magickal intention in a spell or ritual. In fact, simply chanting Fehu is enough to cast any intention. But here it’s describing maintaining our focus on a successful outcome. Friday’s Venusian influence suggests that we’re still on a new path toward better interactions with others and today’s three energy reinforces alignment both within and without. One caution though lies with the Moon in Aries and the possibility of impulsive action. Stay centered and positive should any conflict arise.

Saturday, 4 January

- Human Design (I Ching) Moon position – Gate 42 Line 2 Identification describes knowing when to turn a trend into an opportunity
- Astro Moon position – Taurus at 8:16 AM PST – grounded, resourceful, stubborn, diligent, stable, hesitant to change
Saturday’s slowing down effect allows us to take stock of the prior week and the Taurean influence today assists in that process. And with Othala’s influence, today is a day for home, hearth, and issues of foundation and security. We may be unaccustomed to the new path we’re on so take some time for reflection on progress made.
Overall Thoughts
The overall numerology for the week is one, or new beginnings, which aligns well with Via, the geomancy significator for the week. If we reduce 11 to 2 then 2, 3, and 4 appear twice with 1 appearing only once setting the overall tone for new beginnings, wholeness, and unity with others.
The message from the week’s numerology involves balance (inner/outer), communication, and structure/foundation and suggests the path forward involves a change in how we see and interact with others. Know that the path before us is based upon justice and spiritual truth, and although it may not be easy, it’s wholly necessary.
