We exist within our own quantum field. We focus into physical form, becoming the focal point between our nonphysical self and the physical world around us. As we go about our day, however, we may experience energies that leave us feeling exhausted. It’s nice to take a few moments and center ourselves into our own resonance and meditation is one way to do that.

Visualization techniques have long been used for all sorts of reasons, but they’re wonderful during meditation. That whole, clearing the mind, thing is fine and all, but sometimes meditation has another purpose. I don’t want my mind empty and floating about, I want it focused. I just don’t want it focused on the drama that inevitably finds me. I want to be able to ignore it and stay in alignment, so if there really is something there I need to deal with, then I can do so with a level head, instead of letting the drama of the moment suck the life out of me. Visualization helps immensely with that, so I use it in this meditation. I think of it as remembering who I actually am.

The merkaba, a star tetradedron, is considered sacred geometry and is the shape of our quantum field. When visualizing the merkaba for meditation purposes, I begin by visualizing two tetrahedrons (triangles), one above me inverted with the point facing downward, and one below me with the point facing upward. The goal is to bring the two tetrahedrons together, merging their energies together with me in the middle.

Music is essential. As an empath, I live in the energy of things more so than the physical world in front of me. So I prefer music that resonates into Theta level. That’s the state where we lucid dream, where we access our Higher Self, where healing takes place, and it feels like home to me. I like Stephen Halpern’s Deep Theta extremely well for that. Another is Solfeggio Suite by J. S. Epperson. But anything that relaxes you and takes you away from what’s happening around you is fine.

Begin by finding a comfortable space for yourself. Sit however you like. If you like to use mudras, that’s lovely as well. Breathe in, breathe out. Our breath is our life force. We breathe in, to existence. We breathe in, to life. How many of us hold our breath during the day? We forget to breathe, holding our breath, waiting for Goddess knows what to happen, before we breathe again. So breathe.

Extend your breath, lengthening it as you breathe in and out. As you breathe, visualize the tetrahedrons above and below you. Let them fill with light, because that’s all they are..loving light energy. Begin their slow movement toward you, letting their energy resonate. Feel their sacred energy entering you, filling you with loving resonance.

Continue breathing in, and out, lengthening your breath.

Feel the tetrahedrons as they merge together, becoming the Merkaba, becoming One. You resonate in that loving energy, as the lower tetrahedron moves upward toward Source, and the upper tetrahedron moves downward toward the crystalline grid of Gaia. Inside that sacred space, you are blessed. You can also at this time if you wish balance your chakras, visualizing the light in the Merkaba changing from one color to the next as you balance and cleanse each chakra. Mudras are also lovely to use at this time, as you move through each chakra.

Continue breathing in, and out, lengthening your breath as much as you can.

As loving energy resonates above you, below you, around you, and within you, extend that energy outward. As all are one, all minds are joined, with all receiving the blessing of Source.

Continue breathing as you relax into your own resonance, feeling and extending pure loving thought to all.

When you are ready, gently come back to the present moment.

Given that our energies are unified when we’re all in non-physical form, holding yourself in your own resonance and then extending that to all is the most loving expression you can give and receive. It’s a reminder of who we really are to each other. This meditation is simple and can be done anywhere. In fact, as you begin to work with your own energy, you’ll find that you can center this way whenever the need arises. Meeting the challenges of the world without aligning first almost makes certain that drama will enter into the fray. We’re here to be happy. Remembering that we’re all extensions of Source can go a long way in achieving that for ourselves as well as others. Meditation helps us to refocus. Staying in our own resonance, aligned with Source Energy, we then focus lovingly into our creative expression.
