Geomancy
I chose to do a reconciler in this reading because we begin at Fortuna Minor (lesser success) and end at Fortuna Major (greater success). So, how did we get there? The reconciler, Via, seems to suggest that we took a different path along the way which appears to involve a shift away from instability to wisdom.
I typically read the shield chart in groups with four groups established by the first and second rows of the chart, so Fortuna Minor, Conjunctio, and Amissio create the first group, and so on. The first two groups then influence Albus in the right lower row with the second two groups on the left influencing Tristitia in the left lower row.
The wisdom (Albus) to let go of perceptions that are judgmental and self-defeating (Tristitia) ultimately leads to greater fortune and success (Fortuna Major), but it takes a shift in perception (path, Via) to make that happen,.
We see in the first grouping that financial insecurity creates an unstable alignment leading to loss followed by the second that previews what we can have if we change course (Via) and head in a new direction (Caput Draconis) and the joy and security (Laetitia) that can result.
From there, in the third grouping, we see how Amissio (loss, instability) can affect perceptions or beliefs and the path we take (Via) affecting our level of increase or gain (Acquisitio) followed in the fourth grouping by the understanding that a lack of boundaries (Rubeus) can really impact success (Fortuna Major) and any new direction taken (Caput Draconis).
So it appears that today, if we set boundaries on our own perceptions, letting go of those that interfere with progress, and set a new direction forward, a greater and more sustainable success is possible.
