So, This Is What I Find Fascinating
Here’s the thing. I looked into what QAnon was all about back in 2017. The energy and momentum of it felt deceptive and destructive, so of course, I had to look further to find out what it was all about. Since I view the last president quite differently than they do, I found it odd that they were so into this guy and I wanted to know why. If the allegations about his sexual assaults of women as well as his involvement with Jeffrey Epstein, an alleged sexual predator and trafficker of young girls are true, then one would think this would be the last guy these people would have anything to do with let alone support.
I began by reading a collection of messages called Q drops on Reddit that someone had been collating together. In addition to the so-called intel communications and messages from the guy in the Oval Office, there were a plethora of Hillary and Huma posts complete with pictures of both women allegedly wearing ankle monitors, not that any were actually visible. But the women were wearing long pants so that was supposedly a dead giveaway that ankle monitors were being worn. According to what I read, Hillary and Huma had been arrested and were now on house arrest and being monitored by the Department of Justice. Both women were alleged to have been involved in pedophilia, etc. and the people on the platform were thrilled that they were finally apprehended. Except for the fact that this was all a lie.
In addition, there were allegedly hundreds of sealed indictments that would clean up the Deep State and the swamp all brought about by the soon-to-be impeached president in the White House. The Q folks believed the president was single-handedly righting wrongs while simultaneously arresting and destroying the Democrats, one by one.
The QAnon posts were presented in a format made to look like intelligence information and it was clear to me that this was part of the draw. The shared belief was that “Q” was someone on the inside of the government who was releasing intelligence information that the president at the time wanted to be passed on to his supporters, or army as they were called.
Where we go one, we go all was the mantra and it was easy to see how these people were drawn in. They became part of a greater group of saviors who all wanted to be part of The Storm and The Great Awakening. And I remember wondering at the time what would happen when they had to face the fact that this was a con they were supporting.
In my case, I believe the rape, sex trafficking, and money-laundering allegations against the twice-impeached president in the White House are true. As for the Deep State and the so-called Swamp? Well, that was the new guy’s playground as far as I was concerned. He didn’t drain the swamp as much as fill it with people who would do his bidding. Anyone who stood up to him or spoke truth to power was fired either by tweet or by the kiss of death in front of the press. Because if he praised someone, everyone knew it wouldn’t be long before that individual would be gone.
But what I truly find fascinating, was the focus on pedophilia. Not that there shouldn’t be a focus on dealing with that horrific crime, but to believe that this guy was the one to arrest them all and save the children? Seriously? THIS guy, who separated migrant families at the border and put their babies in cages, and who had his own allegations of sex trafficking, was their answer?
Please. Why would he be anyone’s savior, let alone the kids that are sex trafficked? As far as I’m concerned, it’s not even remotely possible, but, nevertheless, the Q folks were all in.
As to how the Q conspiracy was reinforced, a side issue exists involving allegations of long-term government mind control that concerns so many in the conspiracy community. But given what took place at each rally over the last four years, in my opinion, it appears the former impeached president’s supporters were all victims of that type of mind control. The constant repetition along with the sing-song cadence used by the twice-impeached president was a perfect example of mind control or brainwashing. Added to that, his endless tweets reinforced everything he said at the rallies. When you add in the other social media sites that focused on conspiracy-based information, in my opinion, there appeared to be a concerted effort to create a belief structure that would never be corroborated unless it was reinforced and/or confirmed by those same sites.
So, who really did this? Because now the lies have culminated in a riot at the Capitol on 6 January 2021 and the attempted overturning of a presidential election. Who was behind the structure of it on the QAnon or conspiracy-focused forums, social media sites, and video channels? I witnessed people far older than I am, fall for this nonsense and it was both shocking and depressing to see.
Clearly, it reinforced a narrative or belief that many of the Q folks already had. They were conned…duped. But still, they supported this guy. They believed the brand instead of the truth, and it all went downhill from there into a terrifying world of delusion and vitriol.
I don’t know where any of this goes in the long run. Those who attacked the Capitol on 6 January may spend some time in prison while their would-be leader goes on with his own life. The twice-impeached president will not protect or save any of them. And their misplaced faith will never yield anything other than more confusion and heartache.
It’s been reported that a 9/11 commission of sorts is being put together to look at not only what happened on the run-up to and including the riot on 6 January but who was involved and who paid for this heinous act. I hope they also discover who was behind the QAnon messages. The impact of those lies sent everyone involved off a proverbial cliff and given the outcome and impact on our country, anyone involved needs to be prosecuted.
It began with a massive lie but it will end in shame and disgrace.
