Somewhat Daily Tarot & Rune Has A New Name: As Above, So Below
I’ve always been “title” challenged, whether it’s regarding my blog or the books I write. When I came up with the name Somewhat Daily Tarot and Rune, it was a play on words that reflected an unwillingness to commit to specific days, and then I turned around and began doing the divinations four days a week. But the name essentially described what the divinations were about, so I kept it as it was. Until today.
Given the as above so below premise of the readings, I decided to rename the video series using that concept followed by Divination for (the specific date). Again, I don’t get points for too much creativity, but it’s more accurate regarding what I do in that video series.
I believe that we’re all expressions of the Creator or the Great Mother energy of the universe. It’s a singularity of expression of unity consciousness with each “individual” expressed into form an aspect of that projection. The Great Mother breathed out the universe, and we exist in the Great Mother’s breath, as it were.
So when I read the runes or Tarot cards, I look at everything from the perspective that we are actually the Creator manifested into form with our bodies mere vehicles for that expression. Polarity, in my opinion, first begins with the dichotomy between Spirit and the form it infuses expressed by the ego. So the initial polarity we experience is between the soul’s higher consciousness and lower vibrational awareness of the ego. From there we consider the masculine (projective) and feminine (receptive) energetic balance within and how that impacts our interaction with self and the other side of self.
The self and the other side of self comprise the reality in which we live, a projection of unity consciousness that allows us the ability to grow and learn. If our manifestation into form reflects a singularity, then how can the billions of souls that comprise creation be anything other than the thought patterns expressed by a singular reality? In other words, we appear as individuals, but in truth, it’s nothing more than a projection, and, therefore, illusory in nature.
So, when we see another, it’s really an aspect of our own self that we create to explore whatever theme we’ve chosen, or that the Great Mother has chosen. With each expression interacting with all other expressions, an agreed-upon premise is born and humanity emerges on a so-called planet to live out that premise.
When I look at the runes, I’m looking at what I believe is a language of Spirit that we collectively imagined to keep us on a spiritual path. The Major Arcana of the Tarot provides essentially the same understanding, with each card thought to reflect soul archetypes that, again, guide us on a spiritual path. And although I accept the interpretations of each rune and each Tarot card, I try to view them from a spiritual perspective and offer an interpretation that reflects that higher awareness.
With the premise that we create the “world” in which we collectively exist, I incorporate that shared experience into my readings whenever it makes sense to do so. Otherwise, the readings take an individual focus. I’m less about casting the future as I am in influences that affect our present experiences, although occasionally prediction does factor in.
I realize that my method may not resemble the focus of others who perform divination work but, nevertheless, it’s my hope that what I offer gives listeners another perspective to consider. Changing the title to As Above So Below brings higher awareness into how we perceive our circumstances. And it more accurately describes my work.
I thank everyone who has joined me on this journey and I hope the experience has been beneficial. It’s been a learning process for me in many respects and I sincerely hope it has been the same for others.
Blessed Be
