Favorable/Unfavorable for Magick: very good – workings today can include those that stand up for or protect individual rights. The runes from today’s rune divination (Hagalaz, Isa, and Tiwaz) can be used in a working to invoke protection and transforming perception, either that of others or the individual in question. The focus of the working will depend entirely upon who it’s for. If the working is for yourself, a mojo bag can be created to carry with you during situations where either protection is needed, or if you need to stand up for your own rights. Items for the bag can include the aforementioned runes in some fashion, either individually or combined into a bindrune (drawn on paper is fine, rolled up into a scroll if you like), a small piece or shavings of dragon’s blood resin, a piece of cayenne pepper, and a thorn from a Hawthorn tree if you have it. Otherwise, any thorn is acceptable. It really is describing your intention, so work with what you have. Thorns are protective on their own, so even a thorn from a rose bush works. Add a small piece of jasper (chips are fine) or amethyst for additional support. After creating the mojo bag, either pass it through the smoke from some dragon’s blood resin/incense that you have burning or you could also hold it over a set of lodestones (male/female) to bring balanced energy and grounding to your mojo bag. In fact, I find that holding my hands over my lodestones helps bring energetic balance, so why not use it to consecrate the mojo bag for the same purpose!

Polarity: The masculine (projective) side of self is having the greatest influence suggesting motivation and creative expression are strong.
Elemental Influence: Air (intellect, reason, justice, interaction) provides the strongest elemental influence, with Fire (will, creativity, motivation) next in strength. Earth (material concerns, physical presence) and Water (emotions, compassion, empathy) provide a lesser influence and are in relative balance with each other.
Ray Influences: The effect of the seven cosmic Rays essentially impacts the soul/ego balance at any given moment. As the Rays move through the universe and ultimately reach each individual, they color (or influence) our perceptions and behavior. If we perceive our experiences from a soul perspective, then our overall perspective resonates from a higher vibration; whereas, if we react from the standpoint of ego, our resonance becomes lower and more reactive.
The decreasing influence of the 1st Ray on the expression of will and power suggests that self-confidence continues to be less today and you may be less motivated to pursue new experiences. The lesser impact of the 2nd Ray influence of love and wisdom indicates that empathy and understanding are less today, and in conjunction with the strong impact of the 4th Ray energy of harmony through conflict, it suggests that without a strong 2nd Ray influence, you may be less inclined to collaborate with others or be sensitive to their needs.
The continuing strength of the 3rd Ray of active intelligence indicates that the ability to process information intellectually may be stronger today, and with the strong influence of the 5th Ray, you may be more inclined to rely on scientific knowledge to inform your perspective. However, with the 6th Ray’s stronger impact, coupled with the decreased 2nd Ray influence, a devotion or fixation on ideology may overshadow intellectual expression and a shared acceptance of science-based truth.
Finally, the 7th Ray’s lesser impact on balancing higher self with ego reinforced by the strong 6th Ray energy suggests that ego awareness may ultimately inform your overall perspective today with ideology influencing your reactions.
