The past and the present are reflected in Hagalaz and Isa. Hagalaz, as the rune of the past, describes an intentional shift in perception, as well as letting go of that which no longer serves. Isa, as the rune of the present moment, focuses your awareness on the here and now without the past coming in to affect the truth of the moment. And, with Berkano, you may experience a new direction forming that forces you to reassess how you perceive healing, or possibly the protection of family, for example. Berkano can also signify growth or bringing something to fruition, which, if you’ve felt stuck in one place for a while, this may signal that you’re ready to try something new.
Energetic Influences
Polarity: The feminine (receptive) side of self is having the greatest influence suggesting harmony and compassion are both strong.
Elemental Influence: Fire (will, creativity, motivation) and Air (intellect, reason, justice, interaction) provide the strongest elemental influence today with Earth (material concerns, physical presence) next in strength. Water (emotions, compassion, empathy) follows providing the lesser influence.
Ray Influences: The effect of the seven cosmic Rays essentially impacts the soul/ego balance at any given moment. As the Rays move through the universe and ultimately reach each individual, they color (or influence) our perceptions and behavior. If we perceive our experiences from a soul perspective, then our overall perspective resonates from a higher vibration; whereas, if we react from the standpoint of ego, our resonance becomes lower and more reactive.
The increasing influence of the 1st Ray on the expression of will and power suggests that self-confidence increases today and you may be more motivated to pursue new experiences. However, the continued lesser impact of the 2nd Ray influence of love and wisdom indicates that empathy and understanding are less today, and in conjunction with the strong impact of the 4th Ray energy of harmony through conflict, it suggests that without a strong 2nd Ray influence, you may be less inclined to collaborate with others or be sensitive to their needs.
The increasing strength of the 3rd Ray of active intelligence indicates that the ability to process information intellectually may be stronger today, and with the strong influence of the 5th Ray, you may be more inclined to rely on scientific knowledge to inform your perspective. However, with the 6th Ray’s strong impact, coupled with the lower 2nd Ray influence, a devotion or fixation on ideology may continue to overshadow intellectual expression and a shared acceptance of science-based truth.
Finally, the 7th Ray’s impact on balancing higher self with ego reinforced by the strong 6th Ray energy suggests that ego awareness may ultimately inform your overall perspective today with ideology still influencing your reactions.

Otherwise your self-expression could turn into drama or conflict and you may struggle with staying on track. If so, step back to understand the overall situation.
