It’s easy to become distracted and become overly involved the drama of those around you. And it may take a strong focus to not become caught up in the emotions of others, especially when they seek to draw you into their problems in an unhealthy way.
Nauthiz, as the Norn rune of the future, provides the inner focus necessary to achieve an overall understanding of the situation at hand. Tiwaz, Tyr’s rune, reinforces that inner focus by counseling you to remain true to your own sense of self and your fundamental values and ideals. From there, Fehu helps you to understand the transactional nature of your experiences as well as how you both define and experience growth.
Although it’s not easy to set boundaries when others are caught up in their own emotions, today’s runes suggest that you have the strength and will to do so.
Energetic Influences
Polarity: The masculine (projective) side of self is having the greatest influence suggesting motivation, creativity, and expressions of will are having the strongest impact today.
Elemental Influence: Air (intellect, reason, justice, interaction) and Fire (will, creativity, motivation) provide the strongest elemental influence today with both elements in balance with each other. Water (emotions, compassion, empathy) follows with Earth (material concerns, physical presence) providing the lesser elemental influence today.
Ray Influences: The effect of the seven cosmic Rays essentially impacts the soul/ego balance at any given moment. As the Rays move through the universe and ultimately reach each individual, they color (or influence) our perceptions and behavior. If we perceive our experiences from a soul perspective, then our overall perspective resonates from a higher vibration; whereas, if we react from the standpoint of ego, our resonance becomes lower and more reactive.
The lesser influence of the 1st Ray on the expression of will and power continues today suggesting that self-confidence is less; therefore, you may be less motivated to pursue new experiences. However, the increasing impact of the 2nd Ray influence of love and wisdom indicates that empathy and understanding are stronger today, and in conjunction with the strong impact of the 4th Ray energy of harmony through conflict, it suggests that you may be more inclined to collaborate with others and be sensitive to their needs.
The moderate strength of the 3rd Ray of active intelligence indicates that the ability to process information intellectually may be average today, and with the strong influence of the 5th Ray, you may be inclined to rely on scientific knowledge to inform your perspective. And with the 6th Ray’s increasing strong impact, coupled with the increased 2nd Ray influence, a devotion or fixation on ideology may have less of an impact on intellectual expression and a shared acceptance of science-based truth.
Finally, the 7th Ray’s impact on balancing higher self with ego, reinforced by the balance between the increasing strength of the 2nd Ray of love and wisdom and the strong 6th Ray energy, suggests that ego awareness may be less of a factor in informing your overall perspective today with ideology having less of an influence on your reactions.
