Isa, the Norn rune of the present moment or static realm, invokes alignment in Spirit along with focusing our will in a manner that prevents unwanted choices and behavior.
Algiz, or the elk, essentially offers a similar effect as the bridge between the physical and astral realms, or a path from which we draw down higher consciousness. Like the sedge grasses that protect the elk while searching for food in the marshes, Algiz protects and invokes the divinity within to view our experiences from a higher perspective.

Energetic Influences
Polarity: The feminine (receptive) side of self is having the greatest influence suggesting compassion, empathy, and understanding are having the strongest impact today.
Elemental Influence: Earth (material concerns, physical presence) and Air (intellect, reason, justice, interaction) provide the strongest elemental influence today, with Fire (will, creativity, motivation) and Water (emotions, compassion, empathy)next in strength and in relative balance with each other.
Ray Influences: The effect of the seven cosmic Rays essentially impacts the soul/ego balance at any given moment. As the Rays move through the universe and ultimately reach each individual, they color (or influence) our perceptions and behavior. If we perceive our experiences from a soul perspective, then our overall perspective resonates from a higher vibration; whereas, if we react from the standpoint of ego, our resonance becomes lower and more reactive.
The increased influence of the 1st Ray on the expression of will and power continues today suggesting that you may be motivated to pursue new experiences. In addition, the current strength of the 2nd Ray influence of love and wisdom indicates that empathy and understanding have decreased today, and in conjunction with today’s impact of the 4th Ray energy of harmony through conflict, it suggests that you may be less inclined to collaborate with others or be sensitive to their needs.
The increased strength of the 3rd Ray of active intelligence indicates that the ability to process information intellectually is strong today, but in conjunction with the decreasing influence of the 5th Ray on scientific knowledge, science-based truth may have less of an impact. And with the 2nd Ray influence providing less of an impact on the 6th Ray of devotion and idealism, a fixation on ideology may be higher today.

On a personal front, you may feel a bit smothered by others who, due to their own unhealthy boundaries, try to over-nurture or make decisions for you. If so, understanding the overall picture instead of lashing out is the better option.
Lunar position: The Moon in Cancer – Exercise restraint if interactions become tense knowing that overreaction will only hinder harmony with others.
