Ideally today’s magickal working would involve something to do with love, partnership, or healing. But then, if you’re also celebrating the Christmas holiday over the next few days, you’d likely be focusing that on a family member. And since the favorability for working magick is very bad, which always happens at the end of the month, the better option might be to focus on keeping your own vibration high and in balance.
Use conscious breathing to keep yourself calm and centered. Breathe in to the count of four, hold for a count of four, and then exhale to a count of four, and hold for a count of four. And if that doesn’t work, some motherwort tincture can be helpful to avoid a binding or curse you might feel compelled to cast on a loved one. See the disclaimer below.
Use meditation, even if around others, to go inward so that you ignore whatever nonsense is happening around you. Witches rarely suffer the machinations of others and family is not exempt from such. Re-read the paragraph above (several times if needed) to reinforce the need to breathe and trust me about the motherwort (again, see the disclaimer below). I grow it in my garden and I replenish my tincture yearly. I make at least a quart of it so I have it on hand…you know, if the whole breathing thing doesn’t work out.
In any event, happy holidays…by now, if you’re celebrating Yule, you’ve probably worked through any problems that arose, or if not, you’ve thrown the lot of them out the door, warding all entrances to your home, and dumping a bunch of salt behind them as they go.

With today’s divination, we’re looking at how we express ourselves to others. Ehwaz involves Laguz forward and reversed and coupled with Wunjo, it suggests that we flow in a balanced expression of harmony and joy with others. Kenaz, or the torch, is also visible in both Ehwaz and Wunjo, reinforcing the idea that the light of Spirit infuses higher awareness into our interactions. Clarity is possible today as is transforming our relationships with others as we focus on harmony and happiness.

Energetic Influences
Polarity: The feminine (receptive) side of self is having the greatest influence suggesting compassion, empathy, and understanding are having the strongest impact today.
Elemental Influence: Earth (material concerns, physical presence) provides the strongest elemental influence today with Water (emotions, compassion, empathy) next in strength. Fire (will, creativity, motivation) and Air (intellect, reason, justice, interaction) follow and are in balance with each other.
Ray Influences: The effect of the seven cosmic Rays essentially impacts the soul/ego balance at any given moment. As the Rays move through the universe and ultimately reach each individual, they color (or influence) our perceptions and behavior. If we perceive our experiences from a soul perspective, then our overall perspective resonates from a higher vibration; whereas, if we react from the standpoint of ego, our resonance becomes lower and more reactive.
The 1st (will/power), 3rd (active intelligence), and 7th (ceremonial order and magic) Rays are strongest today indicating that intellectual response is impacted by expressions of will and the ability to keep ego expression at bay. The 2nd Ray of love and wisdom, although increasing, is much less in strength, and with the 5th Ray of concrete knowledge and science also less today, the fixation on ideology with the increasing 6th Ray may overshadow the acceptance of truth.
With the 4th Ray of harmony through conflict continuing its moderate influence you may be less willing to collaborate with others. Aligned with the lesser 2nd Ray’s position, feeling supportive of others may also be less. Finally, the 7th Ray’s impact on balancing higher self with ego suggests that ego awareness may have a greater impact on your overall perspective today with ideology influencing your reactions and perceptions.

General Patterns – Given the increase in the Omicron variant, spending time during the holiday weekend with family may not be the best choice. But if you’re able to do so safely, you may find that passions are high and you and others may be given to expressing your overall frustrations. If arguments break out, you may be the one to assert yourself on behalf of others with sensitivity and grace. Although no one may want to compromise, or at least retreat to their respective corners, you rebel a bit and insist that they do so anyway. A partner may unexpectedly assist you in your efforts.
Sun/Lunar position: The Sun in Capricorn; The Moon in Leo until Virgo at 12:25 AM PST; Yule continues – Even if you choose to spend time only with your immediate family, reach out to others and let them know you care.
