The Week Ahead: 30 April to 6 May 2023

The Sun’s influence impacts an individual’s identity, vitality, and ego expression. As this week begins, you may be so easy-going that others see you as lacking ambition, but in truth, all you’re doing is proceeding carefully and taking a measured approach. With Mercury still in retrograde, over the week a miscommunication may come up leaving you to reconsider whether or not you leave room for the opinions of others. Friday’s Full Moon may be emotionally intense and although you are generally regarded as an independent leader, some may see you as pushy or arrogant.
Attention to detail on Sunday, 30 April 2023 may help you better understand a situation instead of a superficial approach to decide what’s true, particularly if it involves a close partner or spouse. A deeper look beneath the surface may show an imbalance that could be easily corrected.

You may be cautious and so risk-averse that you are prevented from sharing your feelings. Toward the end of the week, if difficult feelings arise, use the opportunity to understand their overall message, how it impacts your life, and then let go of the control it seems to have on your life.

Mercury

Mercury influences an individual’s communication style, thought processes, and how one negotiates or transacts with others. With Mercury still in retrograde, be aware of how you come across to others so that you leave room for everyone’s opinions. A confusing experience at the beginning of the week may leave your attention scattered, and pressing forward on a commitment may be challenging. At the end of the week, you may have difficulty expressing yourself to others.
You may overreact on Wednesday, 3 May 2023 or have unrealistic expectations of others. If this is due to a communication issue, remember that Mercury is still in retrograde and taking the bait would be unwise. Instead, take a breath (or more) before responding and if the interaction still becomes intense, take a step back to allow the situation to settle.

Jupiter is the planet of expansion and influences an individual’s growth, luck, abundance, and self-confidence. As the week continues, you may overreact or become impatient because you perceive that others are interfering with or undermining you in some way.
A patient and pragmatic analysis of a situation on Thursday, 4 May 2023, may lead to greater clarity and understanding, especially if your attention has been a bit scattered or superficial. And doing so may give you the self-confidence to assert your own perspective.
