A Reality Check
Stepping Aside is a blog. I don’t keep lists of subscribers, nor do I contact anyone about anything. I might respond to an email if I think it’s on the level, or if it’s from someone I already know in some fashion, but I don’t use this blog for any purpose other than to express myself. It’s not the end of the world if no one reads it, although I appreciate it if people do. And I love it when people tell me they like what I said about one thing or another, but I don’t enter a deep depression if no one does. I don’t run advertisements, and I don’t accept donations. It’s just a blog. Nothing more, nothing less.
Most of the comments I receive are from someone trying to sell me something. Some of it has to do with how to get my blog noticed, but if you read the first paragraph you can probably surmise that I don’t really care about that. I post to social media. It is what it is.
Recently, I added a section for anyone who wants to be included in my daily Reiki healing. It’s odd to say I perform Reiki daily, because as extensions of Source Energy, each of us is Reiki, but stating it that way, at least some folks know what I’m talking about. My kids don’t know what to think about all of it, one telling me recently that I’ve always been fascinated with all things fringe. Imagine that. Mom’s a witch, an empath, a black belt, and a Reiki Master. Okay..I concede the point, not that I know what his point was or anything.
So back to the offer of Reiki healing. It made sense to offer this given that I believe we’re all of one mind. Focusing in and drawing Source/Reiki Energy at a time when someone is open and channeling that energy is wonderful. The physical world around us is a projection of collective consciousness, so in reality, our collective mind is all that exists. Distance is irrelevant because Source/Reiki Energy is All That Is. That’s why distance healing works as well as an in-person session. It’s the same premise in runecasting. I could cast runes for an individual or for myself, but that same energy would be valid for anyone else who chose to focus in.
I try not to judge..really I do. So when people fill out the section requesting Reiki healing with whatever it is they’re trying to sell me, I figure they must need healing the most, because clearly, they must be unable to read. They can apparently type, although sometimes it’s just random words on the page. But here’s the thing. Do you really think I’m ever going to buy anything that you’re selling? (see paragraphs 1 and 2 for clarification) I did away with my land line because I got tired of sales calls. All the Do Not Call lists I’m on are unable to stop these people from calling me at 7 am or 11pm, so that phone is gone now. I even tried simply unplugging it unless I wanted to use it, but at some point it seemed stupid to have that and a cell phone, so I finally had it disconnected.
To those salespeople who got to me before I had caller ID, I would ask them to send me information on what they were selling so that I could review it at my own leisure. They’d typically hang up on me at that point. I also used to send credit card offers for my youngest son while he was in college back to the credit card company in their postage paid envelopes, shaming them for sending an offer to an unemployed student. I used a red sharpie and shamed them in big letters all over the offer page. I even cancelled one of my credit card accounts because they wouldn’t stop sending them to my son. They got a red sharpie letter too, on their paper no less.
The only reason I decided to add a healing request section was so that I had something tangible to focus on during the healing session. I delete the emails and I don’t save any of the email addresses because individual privacy matters to me. I don’t charge anyone anything for Reiki. As an empath, I love experiencing flowing energy. It reflects alignment with Source and it’s really the only time I’m truly happy, so I love performing Reiki. I suppose if I had a shop or something I would have to charge so that I could pay the rent, but I don’t so I thought if someone wanted to leave their name then I could include them.
So please feel free to be part of my daily Reiki healing as often as you like. Even the sales people. Maybe especially the sales people.
~Blessings to all!

I think I am getting a aha moment. Trying to put it together. So here goes. I see the correlation between what your saying about “land line” and Reiki. With Reiki you are sending directly as well as a land line. Sometimes you get a party line effect because energy can splinter off and people open can receive. Just a thought. I keep my land line in case cell towers went down I could still reach out and sometimes I need a fax. Those pour souls that are soliciting get to hear my pent up anger, whatever that may be, and sometimes I have so much fun screwing with them…Depends on my mood. I would so much appreciate being on your Reiki list. I am also a Reiki practitioner and willing to send. What I think people don’t understand is that when you send healing/energy, it is up to that person to direct where they want it. I love your blog and I get to take a pause in life and focus in and clarify my thoughts or beliefs. Blessed Be Star Sister
I love aha moments..and always happy to include a buddy 😉 Blessings back atcha!
