Numerology: 3 – a number of interaction, balance, communication, and optimism.

Given that Monday’s reading also included Raidho, it appears that today’s reading may be an extension of that reading which involved dealing deceptively with others. Raidho describes integration and the soul’s journey in physical reality. It involves partnership, collaboration, harmony, rhythm, cycles, and justice. But more importantly, it involves valuing the process over the goal, and the ability to deal with others in an honest and just manner.

Via, today’s geomancy rune, describes a new path, so together the runes imply that as you learn to integrate or transmute ego into Spirit and allow the soul to come forth into your present awareness, a new direction or path can open that embraces the collective consciousness in your life. And it’s in that sense, this reading is likely an extension of the one on Monday. You’re beginning to understand that engaging with others in a deceptive manner is not the right choice to make, not if you want to have a positive and harmonious collaboration with others.

Beginning with the 3 of Swords, we see three swords piercing a large red heart while rain pours down from the clouds above. This may be the card that continues the connection with Monday’s reading. Two of the swords are behind the center sword. If you’re still processing the idea about not being deceptive with others, then this card could show the impact of that behavior. Perhaps the two swords behind the center one represent the conversation that others have when they experience deception from you. And the rain that pours down could reflect how they feel when that happens.

Next, the 8 of Cups shows eight upright cups arranged in a pattern with five on the ground and three on top. In the background, we see an ocean scene with large craggy rocks and a man with a staff walking upward on an embankment where he must move around three larger rocks in his way. The eight cups can indicate either emotions that he’s leaving behind. or that he’s put them all into perspective and now he’s ready to move forward on a new path, irrespective of the challenges he may face. We see a Crone moon in the sky suggesting wisdom gained. In fact, the space between the three cups on top of the others may indicate an absent ninth card signaling an ending of sorts as well as the emotional security he takes with him along the new path. Either way, he’s ready to embody the higher wisdom necessary to let of emotions that lead to manipulation or deception in his dealings with others.

Lastly, the Ace of Pentacles describes a new path toward material security. We see a hand reaching out from a darkened cloud holding a large coin. Energy is radiating from the hand suggesting the resonance of spiritual or soul awareness. In the physical sense, the Ace of Pentacles could describe the material security we achieve in life through our home, work, finances, family, education, etc. We also see lilies growing on either side of a path that leads through an archway that connects two walls or hedgerows. As in the 8 of Cups, we see a mountain beyond the archway that suggests there could be challenges ahead, but you have the emotional security (described by the 8) to pursue anything that comes your way, and in this case, increasing your material security.

Summation

So, when you’re able to be honest with others and not engage in deception or pushing your own agenda at their expense, a new path can open where others are able trust you to be a true partner. The process of how well you integrate (Raidho) spirit and ego begins within. Ego wants what it wants but it can be at the expense of trust. And when you can allow spirit to inform your perceptions, you understand that more is at stake than simply getting what you want.

Today’s reading shows you how others may be impacted by pushing your own agenda at their expense (3 of Swords). And it also shows you the value of putting any fear you might have over losing perceived control into perspective so that you move forward on a new path irrespective of the challenges you might face (8 of Cups, Via). And in the process of doing all that, it may in fact increase the material security you will gain on a new collaborative path of inner and external integration (Ace of Pentacles).
