Exploring Tarot: 6 of Swords
In the 6 of Swords, we see a man ferrying a woman and a child across a calm body of water. The woman and child are wearing winter cloaks and the trees and ground in the distance appear to be covered in snow. Six swords stand upright in the boat in front of the woman and child. The three individuals likely represent a family who is seeking a new life. The suit of Swords reflects the Air element and the intellect, reason, balance, justice, interactions, analysis, deception, and truth.
A card of Mercury in Aquarius, the 6 of Swords suggests a decision has been made through higher wisdom or clarity, or for a better purpose, and a new path has opened where positive change can occur. When the card is reversed in a reading, it may be challenges that are occurring have no real solutions.
The 6 of Swords may also suggest a change in perception where a new direction becomes possible. And although challenges may lie ahead, you may see that in a new way so that any struggle experienced is not insurmountable.
