Reading Notes:

Significator runes: Tiwaz (17th rune, Tyr, spiritual warrior within, faith, justice, sacrifice, oaths, idealism), Carcer (self-imprisonment, restriction)

Cards 4 of Cups (4, Water, Minor Arcana), The Tower (16, Major Arcana), The Empress (3, Major Arcana)

Overall numerology: 17+4+16+3 = 40 = 4 (lower vibration for structure, practicality, reason) or when reducing the numbers 8+4+7+3 = 22 (higher vibratory Master number for the Cosmic Builder and profound soul-level manifestation or change)

Note: We’ve had Carcer in four other readings that began on 8/31/2023 which suggests that self-restriction or imprisonment has been a factor in our lives and it’s time to start stepping outside our comfort zone to let go of fear and other emotions or belief structures that keep us in a bubble of sorts and unable to move outside of that.

Beginning with Tiwaz, the 17th rune from the Elder Futhark, we’re looking at a rune that represents the god Tyr and the spiritual warrior within. It represents higher faith, justice, and sacrifice. Tiwaz invokes idealism and being true to your word or oath. Coupled with Carcer, this suggests powerful energy (along with the overall Master 22 numerology) is at work that can support us as we stand in our own power and truly transform our lives.

Moving on to the cards, The 4 of Cups shows a man sitting on the ground in a defensive posture, with his arms and legs crossed. An oak tree is behind him, but he doesn’t seem to draw strength from that. A hand reaches out from a small cloud holding a cup in offering while three more are upright on the ground in front of the man, however, again, he seems unable to see what’s offered because he’s too caught up in his own emotions, or in his own Carcer experience.

Next, we come to The Tower, the 16th card from the Major Arcana. Here we see a lightning bolt blow the top off the tower. Smoke and fire are coming out of the tower and its windows, and two people are falling to safety (we have no proof here that they succumbed to the fall). The Tower is about disrupting perceptions and finding a new balance. It represents catalytic change that is positive. It’s letting go of that which no longer serves. The Tower brings clarity and resolve that is evident as well in Tiwaz. A seven numerology for the card, it asks us to allow awakening to take place so that you can stand in your own higher consciousness-based power.

From there, after all that transformation, we can, with The Empress, card 3 from the Major Arcana, give birth to a new creation (aligns with the Master number 22 as the Cosmic Builder). The Empress is surrounded by abundance and beauty and suggests that as we let go of that which no longer serves, we can then experience a new creative force that integrates love, harmony, and unity of shared purpose.

SUMMATION

The separation we experience in form is essentially a false narrative promoted by the ego’s hold on our emotions and beliefs. With the inner strength of Tiwaz, that higher energy is powerful enough to pull us out of the bubble in which we choose to live. And with the higher overall numerology of the Master number 22, as we let go of emotions and perceptions that no longer serve, we transmute ego into Spirit and transform our lives in a powerful way. And, from there, we can create something truly profound.
