As Above, So Below for Monday, 9 October 2023
Significator Runes: Isa (11th rune, Norn rune of the future, invoking will, alignment in higher consciousness, ice, contraction, focus) and Via (way, path)
Cards: Wheel of Fortune (card 10, Major Arcana), 8 of Wands (8, Fire, Minor Acana), King of Cups (Water, Court)
Numerology/Patterns: Isa has an 11 numerology which is the Master number for awakening and enlightenment, so I’m not going to include it in the overall numerology of 9 with the cards. The nine numerology of endings and completion which aligns with the day’s numerology of 9.
Oracle Card: Raven – Magic from the Wild and Sacred Feminine Deck. This card suggests that you are your own manifesting force where you cast your intention with thought, word, and deed. And it’s asking you to influence your reality through higher consciousness for the highest good.
Beginning with today’s significator runes, Isa, as the 11th rune from the Elder Futhark, has an 11 numerology, the Master number for awakening and enlightenment. Isa, as the Norn rune of the present moment, describes alignment in higher consciousness and invoking the will. Via, today’s geomancy runes, represents the way or path. Together, today’s significator runes indicate that a new path that involves higher awareness may be opening. And it’s interesting that both Isa and Via resemble each other.
Moving on to the cards, the Wheel of Fortune begins the Tarot aspect of the reading. The 10th card of the Major Arcana, depictions of the four fixed signs of the zodiac surround the wheel in the center of the card while the representations of mercury, sulfur, and salt ride on the wheel itself. The Wheel of Fortune describes fortune, prosperity, cycles, movement, and of course, success. Its ten numerology suggests the end of one phase and the beginning of something new, which aligns with the nine numerology of the reading as well as the geomancy rune, Isa. So, there’s a feeling of having achieved some sort of success, you’re ready to embark on something new.
Next, the 8 of Wands shows eight staffs being thrown into the scene. Seven are in alignment with each other while the eighth appears to be holding back. Wands reflects the Fire element and creativity, the life force, and new opportunities. So as the Wheel turns, you may become aware of new opportunities that could take you in a new direction. However, looking at the seven staffs that seem to be equal in nature, it could be that these opportunities are similar to others you’ve looked at. The staff that appears fourth from the top, however, seems to be lagging back a bit, suggesting an opportunity that could be different than the others. It could reflect something you’ve never encountered before, an outlier perhaps, and therefore, worth a second look.
The reading ends with the King of Cups. This King sits on a throne in the ocean holding a chalice in his right hand and a scepter in his left that also resembles the chalice he holds. The King could be someone you meet along the way who may advise you, or he’s someone whose characteristics you may embody. The King of Cups is kind and generous, wise and loving, however, he can also be impulsive, have problems with commitment, and become passive/aggressive with others. He could reflect a higher wisdom within you, or suggest a tendency toward impulsivity. However, if it’s someone who you encounter, you may need to be somewhat reserved when taking his advice, especially if you know the person to be someone who has an agenda or who may not be as committed to your success as you are.
SUMMATION
So, it seems likely that one period is coming to an end and a new path may be opening. You’ve had some success, and now you’re ready to consider some other opportunities. there could be one that you might have ordinarily rejected, but the reading is suggesting that you might want to give it another look. If you need advice, be sure that the person giving you that advice doesn’t have a personal agenda. Or if you have problems with your own commitment, you may benefit from letting go of any fear you might have over embracing change or something new, and make your choices from a place of inner strength or higher awareness.
