Tiwaz and Puer are today’s significator runes. Overall, Tiwaz describes the spiritual warrior within while Puer involves a lack of impulse control. In a sense, Tiwaz is the father trying to prevent his young son from doing something risky. However, as the as above rune in the reading, Tiwaz represents standing up for a higher purpose and the sacrifices we’re willing to make for our values and principles. Puer, although not as significant as the geomancy rune Rubeus might be, is suggesting that we not become distracted by the ego and not live up to those ideals.

Looking first at the 3 of Pentacles, we see a mason working on a project as two people come by to admire his very ornate work. Three suggests communication and interaction and the two people could be having a conversation with the man because they might want to hire him. The suit of Pentacles reflects the Earth element and our physical lives (education, tradition, home, family, and work) and given that the 3 of Pentacles is a positive card, it suggests the man may increase his material security if the interaction goes well.

Next, The Lovers, card 6 from the Major Arcana, describes balanced polarity. We see representations of Adam and Eve, with Eve standing next to the Tree of Knowledge and Adam standing in front of a spindly oak tree. The Sun, representing Source Presence or the Creator, shines above an angel that emerges out of a cloud above the two people. A mountain is in the distance which seems to lean in the direction of the woman suggesting she has more inner strength than the man. The woman looks toward the angel above while the man looks at her, so it appears that the receptive presence is the energy that connects with higher awareness or spirit while the projective side is concerned with physical reality. Taken together with Tiwaz and Puer, Eve aligns the most with Tiwaz while Adam aligns the most with Puer suggesting a lack of impulse control and becoming distracted from his higher purpose.

Note: during the reading, when determining the overall numerology, I looked at the cards, and said the overall numerology of the cards was 1 because I mistakenly said that The Lovers was a 4 when it’s a 6 numerology. I have a calculator app up on the screen, but I didn’t use it and said the numbers added up to 1o which reduces to 1. The problem is, the numbers actually added up to 12 which reduces to 3. Added to the 8 numerology of Tiwaz, the overall numerology is 11, the Master number for illumination and awakening, not the 9 I mistakenly said it was. Both the 9 and the 11 involve spirituality, but that’s not the point. The overall numerology is 11 which, as a Master number, has even greater spiritual power than the 9.

Lastly, the 3 of Cups depicts three women dancing together while holding their cups high in the air in celebration of something positive that’s happened. Again, a three numerology involves communication, harmony, interaction, and integration. And taken with the other cards, it appears that after doing a good job selling what you have to offer in the 3 of Pentacles, based on the fact that you have a healthy alignment of inner polarity that favors higher awareness over ego, the 3 of Cups illustrates the success and happiness that can happen.

SUMMATION

An opportunity may come your way where having integrity matters. Tiwaz suggests that expressing spiritual values and principles will increase your potential for success more than becoming distracted by your ego will accomplish. If you have difficulty with that, then it could be you need to reassess how your inner balance, your inner polarity, impacts your interactions with others. An unhealthy balance may foster behavior that may get you what you want initially, but as more people understand that your integrity is an issue, whatever success you might have had may not continue. Instead of being someone people trust, you become known as a dishonest broker that no one can trust. So, embrace the spiritual warrior within and reap the benefits!
