Exploring Tarot: 8 of Cups
A man in a red cloak uses a walking stick to walk up an incline to help negotiate the large rocks in his path. The Moon shines above a rocky coastline while 8 cups are arranged in an upright pattern on the sand behind him. The 8 of Cups describes getting your emotions in order, letting go of what no longer serves, and then moving on to new experiences.
There’s a sense of inner reflection with this card, as if the man, after careful consideration, has realized he needs to move forward, after possibly becoming emotionally stuck in some way.
Reversed, the 8 of Cups indicates that you need to stay put for now to see what impact you can have on a situation.
