As Above, So Below for Thursday, 22 February 2024
The reading notes for today’s reading are below. You’re welcome to watch the video here.
- Significator runes: Raidho (5th rune, rider/horse, integration, process over goal, partnership, rhythm, justice, cycles); Conjunctio (union, joining)
- Cards: Temperance, 2 of Pentacles, 4 of Pentacles
- Patterns: strong Earth influence, numerology of both Raidho and Temperance are 5, while today’s Master 22 numerology (2/22/2024) signals profound manifestation aligns with the overall numerology of 7 for the reading and experiencing a higher balance or integration with others.
- Overall numerology: 5+14+2+4=25; 2+5=7 (balance, observation, letting things settle before making a decision, magick, spirituality, justice)
Today’s significator runes for the reading are Raidho and Conjunctio, both of which involve integration and union. Raidho involves the integration between rider and horse, collaboration, and harmony while Conjunctio simply involves union or joining with others. Along with today’s Master 22 numerology, it suggests that what will be manifested today may include collaborating with others in some manner. Initially, I suggested this might involve a project at work, but as the cards below will suggest, it may be a more personal experience involving your material security.
Beginning with Temperance, the 14th card from the Major Arcana, we see an angel pouring water from one cup to another, with one foot on the land and one foot in the water. A path winds up between two peaks (balance) to greet the Sun that is rising in the sky. Two water irises bloom next to the water’s edge. The angel’s wings are red as is the glyph for Fire that is on the angel’s gown. Essentially Temperance suggests moderation and balancing will (Fire) with emotion (Water). However, the Earth element also factors into the scene with the angel’s foot on the green grass suggesting that as you balance will with emotion, doing so can also provide grounding as well. So, it would seem that keeping your will or impulses more grounded in reality may be a factor in the reading.
Next, we come to the 2 of Pentacles where we see a juggler balancing two coins with a lemniscate surrounding them. The lemniscate may also suggest that the two coins are related in some way to each other (maybe two sides of the same coin) and the juggler needs to weigh one against the other. In the background, two boats navigate through large ocean waves, and the juggler turning his back to the ocean is weighing things out without his emotions influencing his decision.
Lastly, the 4 of Pentacles illustrates a King sitting on a bench with his back to his kingdom with each of his feet resting on large coins, one coin sitting atop his crown, while holding fast to a fourth coin with his arms. Traditional interpretations of the 4 of Pentacles suggest that this represents miserliness; however, in this reading, I believe it suggests a conservative, grounded, and responsible approach to money management.
SUMMATION
Whatever decision you need to make today needs to balance what you want with what’s practical or responsible. This could involve a collaborative experience with others, possibly at work, but it feels more like a decision needs to be made from a practical and responsible perspective that impacts either you or you and your family. So, for example, if you are considering taking a new job, if you have a family, how will that decision impact them? Or if it’s buying a house or a new car, again, how will that impact your family’s security? Or if you’re unattached, can you make the payments, or will the decision you make over-extend yourself with bad credit a potential result? In that respect, the integration would be between you and the bank, and whether or not you’ve approached this decision in a practical, responsible manner. But the point is, are you going to make the decision from an emotional or impulsive perspective, or will you approach it from one that is rational, practical, and responsible? Today’s reading suggests that if the decision you make is practical and grounded in reality, it’s likely to be more successful.
