As Above, So Below for Thursday, 7 March 2024
The reading notes for today’s reading are below. You’re welcome to watch the video here.
- Significator runes: Algiz (15th rune, elk, elk sedge, protection, bridge between soul and physical reality, divinity, higher consciousness); Via (path, way, direction)
- Cards: Queen of Wands, 2 of Cups, 10 of Cups
- Patterns: Minor Arcana, two cards from Cups, Fire element integration between the Queen of Wands and the 2 of Cups
- Overall numerology: 15+2+10=27; 2+7=9 (endings, completion, spirituality, generosity)
Algiz and Via are today’s significator runes indicating that through higher awareness, a new path is possible. Algiz provides the connection between the soul and physical reality while Via indicates a new path. The overall numerology of nine also reinforces the idea of higher consciousness informing our perceptions with its own manifestation of spirituality in its interpretation. and regarding the Tarot cards, we see two cards from the suit of Cups that suggest a strong emotional component to the reading.
Today’s cards include the Queen of Wands, 2 of Cups, and 10 of Cups. And you should note that I shifted the Queen card to the first card in the reading after beginning the reading because it made more sense. The Queen of Wands might be considered somewhat of an outlier given the two cards from the suit of Cups, except that in the case of this reading, I think she provides the expression of will to initiate a response to something emotional that’s occurred. A card of Elemental Fire, the Queen of Wands is an older woman in authority who is strict, generous, talented, and successful. Although she doesn’t look directly at the reader, she has high expectations of herself and others. And coupled with the two cards from the suit of Cups, she seems to provide the impetus or will to take responsibility and to be the one to initiate the upcoming apology in the 2 of Cups.
Next, the 2 of Cups illustrates two people reaching out with cups in an offering of communion or healing. They come together in purity and grace, away from their home in the distance where something has happened to cause hurt feelings. We see a relationship between the Queen and the 2 with the presence of the Fire element in the 2 of Cups with the red-winged lion’s head above the caduceus and the intention to heal the situation between the couple. This is evidenced by the man reaching out to the woman and taking a step toward her, perhaps initiating an apology.
The end result of taking responsibility for an argument or unnecessary harsh words is expressed by the 10 of Cups and the emotional fulfillment you gain from the new path you’ve taken toward having a life together. You’ve learned to deal with issues from a higher perspective (Algiz) in the 2 of Cups and you’re on a new path of healing and unity (Via). Even the house in the distance on both the 2 and 10 looks the same, so perhaps the addition of the children on the 10 of Cups indicates the new path taken involves growing your life together which results in feelings of emotional fulfillment.
SUMMATION
There appears to be some sort of rift between you and someone else, possibly a spouse or partner. To clear up any misunderstandings or harsh words, someone needs to take that first step to either begin the conversation or apologize for the hurt that’s been caused. If that’s you, then you’re coming from a place of higher awareness and integrity to do what’s necessary to make things right. And when you do, it can open a new path of understanding between you and your partner which results in emotional fulfillment that you share together.
Blessings!
