Exploring Tarot: 3 of Wands
A well-dressed man looks out over the bay where boats come in and out. Three staffs are present from which leafy branches are beginning to grow. Two staffs appear to be affixed in some manner to the ground suggesting an established foundation while the man holds the third staff in his right hand. The two staffs appear as a doorway that the man has stepped through either to look for new opportunities or to watch for his ship to come in.
The 3 of Wands indicates trade and expansion of new opportunities. While the man may seem removed from the comings and goings in the bay, in reality, he’s looking over the expansiveness of his future and the commitment he’s made.
Reversed, the 3 of Wands may indicate that the choices made won’t come to fruition.
