SUMMATION
Today’s reading begins with Ansuz and Conjuctio. For the above aspect, Ansuz, Odin’s rune, describes Higher awareness, divinity, clarity, eloquence, and Spirit communication, while Conjunctio, as the below aspect, describes union or joining together. Together, today’s significator runes suggest that we align together with others in higher consciousness or awareness. The overall numerology for today’s reading is seven, which also implies the same sort of observation that is found with Ansuz, one that invokes higher awareness instead of the reactive ego. But it’s the Knight of Pentacles that represents the focus of the reading with The Hermit and The Empress informing the Knight, so it’s likely that the Knight represents the querent in the reading.
We see the Knight sitting atop his horse holding a coin in offering to possibly the people of the village. Like The Hermit, he gets above it all as if guarding the area he’s there to protect. He’s responsible and reliable, trustworthy and realistic. The coin in his hand represents what he has to offer, his talent, skills, and the ability to protect. The Hermit informs the Knight by invoking higher awareness and letting that inform his commitment to the area/village/people below. The Empress, on the other hand, informs the Knight by her loving presence and commitment to her creation. Together, they invoke a sense of higher purpose in the Knight when guarding, protecting, and offering assistance to others.
Essentially, the reading suggests that you may have the opportunity to help someone else today. If so, the help you should provide should be selfless and without expectations. It’s assistance that reflects an understanding of the situation from a higher perspective, whether it be a random act of kindness in the moment, or offering a listening ear to someone. It also shows that you can be relied upon or depended upon. It’s an act of grace that you extend to someone whether you know that person or not.
