• Significator runes: Algiz (15th rune, elk, elk sedge, protection, link between the physical and astral realms, higher consciousness) and Amissio (loss, decrease)
• Cards: 7 of Wands, The Fool, Ace of Pentacles
• Patterns: The Fool and the Ace have a common energy
• Overall numerology: 15+7+1=23; 2+3=5 (change, protection, pentagram, freedom vs restriction, innovation)

Note: I forgot to do the numerology during the reading…it was five, which after doing the reading, suggested freedom versus restriction and change might be something to consider during this time.

SUMMATION

Today’s runes indicate a loss of ego (Amissio) in favor of higher awareness (Algiz). So it seems like there could be a situation either brewing or one that you’ve been dealing with for a while that now needs to be seen from a higher perspective instead of allowing ego to drive your reactions and/or decisions.

Although I initially drew The Fool first, followed by the 7 of Wands and then the Ace of Pentacles, I ultimately switched the 7 with The Fool because the 7 of Wands seems to define the issue that The Fool and the Ace provide more understanding about. The 7 of Wands illustrates a man standing his ground. The suit of Wands reflects the Fire element and the expression of will. So he could be getting above the situation, observing what’s there, and then standing his ground after a battle of wills, for example.

From there, he may have decided to walk away from that experience and take the leap of faith expressed by The Fool into a new direction or path that is filled with undeveloped potential which could bring more satisfaction in his life. Finally, the new path is expressed by the Ace of Pentacles where we see the return of the white lilies expressed in The Fool that line the path toward the archway in the hedgerow. Mountains are visible beyond the archway, which resembles a portal, that indicate challenges are ahead, but you go through the portal anyway, taking that leap of faith and trusting the process that everything will turn out well.

This reading could involve a situation at work, where you live, or possibly a group of friends you hang out with. However, it’s a situation that you need to understand further, but when you do, you realize that you’re not going to compromise your values or principles and it may be time to move on to something else. With the Ace of Pentacles, the new experience could be lucrative and increase your material security. But wherever that new direction or path takes you, you take with you all that you’ve learned and the values and principles you gained over your life.

If the reading resonates for you, it could be acknowledging what you already know, that a situation you’re experiencing may be untenable, and if you can’t find a solution within that experience, it may be time to pursue a new direction. But it may only happen if the ego gives way to a higher perspective.
