SUMMATION
We begin today’s reading with Ehwaz and Fortuna Major, suggesting that the better we flow together in harmony and higher awareness, the greater the success we can achieve. The overall numerology of seven suggests observation and balance, along with letting things settle before responding which could help the situation described in the 4 of Cups. Today’s Master 11 numerology also reinforces the same higher awareness expressed by Ehwaz.
Looking at the cards, The Empress provides soul-archetype energy that aligns well with Ehwaz, while the 4 of Cups challenges you to let go of emotions that keep you stuck and unable to acknowledge what you have or what is offered by others. It basically ignores the higher message of Ehwaz. However, factoring in Fortuna Major and the idea of success or achievement, the 4 of Cups could suggest you’re resisting the benefit of collaboration with others because you possibly feel ignored or upset. From there, as you work through your feelings and emotionally commit to the collaborative experience, the 8 of Pentacles suggests that you begin to achieve success.
The pivot point in the reading, in my opinion, lies with the 4 of Cups. The man sits in a defensive posture, unable to draw from inner oak strength from the oak tree behind him. He can’t draw from established emotions illustrated by the three cups sitting upright on the ground in front of him. And he can’t appreciate the emotional support that the hand emerging from the cloud offers. He’s stuck in emotions that create resistance to any collaboration that needs to happen. He’s in service to his own agenda, his own narrative, instead of being in service to the overall collaborative experience. However, once he works through that resistance, the 8 of Pentacles suggests he increases his material security and success because his emotions have become more grounded.
So, if you’re involved in a collaborative experience over the next few days, either with a group or with a partner, put the endeavor’s success before how well you believe your ideas are received.
