- Overall numerology: 13+10+10+21=54; 5+4=9 (endings, completion, spirituality, generosity)
SUMMATION
This is an interesting reading in that everything, the runes and the cards, seems to dovetail together. Eihwaz invokes Spirit or higher awareness into physical reality while Laetitia describes joy, and happiness, and portends good fortune. From there, the cards describe shouldering opportunities that can ultimately bring you material and emotional security. The World card reinforces the same with its description of completion, synthesis, and reward.
The 10 of Wands illustrates a man carrying ten staffs with life still visible on each one. The suit of Wands reflects the Fire element and creativity, opportunities, motivation, and initiation. Some interpretations describe this card as excess or carrying a heavy burden. But in this reading, in my opinion, it’s describing shouldering one’s responsibilities. From there, the 1o of Cups, a card of Elemental Water, describes emotional fulfillment and happiness, likely gained from the 10 of Wands.
Today’s reading could be describing a situation where you’re pursuing new opportunities that will create success in your life and you’re willing to shoulder whatever responsibilities involved to make that happen. From there, the outcome is seen both in the 10 of Cups where you’re able to buy a new home where you and your family will experience happiness and joy, and in The World card with its interpretation of completion, synthesis, and reward. Major Arcana cards are considered soul archetypes so this card aligns well with Eihwaz and the idea that we’re actually souls having a physical experience.
The reading could also be referring to what you’ve built over your life and now you’re ready to retire and you’re looking back at what you did to achieve your success. However, it doesn’t mean that you’re done and sitting in a rocking chair on the front porch. The World involves the idea of coming full circle and possibly starting a new phase in life. If so, your life experiences will provide a blueprint for anything new you choose to do.
So, if you’re feeling overwhelmed by your responsibilities, try to see it from a higher perspective, and then put that same energy into a feeling of accomplishment and see it as the time you’re putting in to become successful. From there, your material security and emotional satisfaction are the result of all that hard work.
