Exploring Tarot: The Fool
The Fool stands on the precipice, a soul ready to take its leap into a new life. Although we don’t yet know if the soul will incarnate into physical reality as a male or female, for ease of reading, I’ll refer to The Fool as male.
The Sun shines and its golden light illuminates the Fool’s awareness. With a knapsack over his right shoulder containing past life experiences, a white rose of purity in his right hand, and a dog at his side, The Fool looks upward to the collective consciousness and trusts the spiritual process that allows his intentions to manifest. A closer look at his tunic shows wheels similar to The Wheel of Fortune, suggesting the cycles of life.
When appearing upright in a reading, The Fool can suggest undeveloped potential, taking risks, a leap of faith, trusting the process, and no expectations. It may also indicate balancing your intuition with practical experience when a choice is necessary regarding a new opportunity. Reversed, The Fool can indicate taking unnecessary risks that result in failure.
