As Above, So Below for Monday, 10 June 2024
The reading notes for today’s reading are below. You’re welcome to watch the video here.
- Significator runes: Tiwaz (17th rune, spiritual warrior, the god Tyr, ideals, faith, justice, oaths, sacrifice, justice) and Rubeus (temper, misuse of force, vice, power, destruction, evil outcomes, violence, either/or, overreaction)
- Cards: 6 of Cups, The Hanged Man (12), Queen of Cups (a fourth card, 8 of Cups, for further clarification but not part of the overall numerology)
- Patterns: a run on Cups
- Overall numerology: 17+6+12=35; 3+5=8 (leadership, strength, harmony, material recognition/approval)
SUMMATION
Today’s reading begins with extremes: Tiwaz and Rubeus. Tiwaz is the spiritual warrior within and reflects ideals, justice, and standing up for one’s values and principles. Rubeus, on the other hand, describes an extreme misuse of force, a destructive ego, and it’s considered an evil influence. Together the runes suggest that you may need to stand up for yourself or on behalf of others to speak the truth against someone who is trying to con or otherwise manipulate others.
The overall numerology of the reading, eight, describes strength and leadership and aligns well with Tiwaz, whereas Rubeus is the outlier that is threatening the overall stability, respect, and values. And, as you’ll see as the summation continues, the run on the Suit of Cups indicates a strong emotional component is involved in today’s reading.
For today’s cards, I drew the 6 of Cups, The Hanged Man, and the Queen of Cups. The 6 of Cups involves sharing, giving, and compassion for others; The Hanged Man involves surrendering to Spirit or Higher Awareness; and, The Queen of Cups suggests authority that expresses empathy, compassion, and healing. Together they seem to define how Tiwaz can be expressed, especially when contending with the Rubeus energy of a misuse of power or force. So the cards may define that expression as standing up for the rights of both self and others.
I drew a fourth card, the 8 of Cups, to give more information. I was hoping for something that would give more information about Rubeus, but I think all it really did was add the idea of letting go of emotions that don’t serve a higher purpose. However, the eight numerology of the card does reinforce the eight numerology of the reading and the idea of having the inner strength to do what’s necessary to preserve higher values or perhaps justice.
So, whether today’s reading is describing a situation in your life where you need to stand up for what you believe in or want, or you’re speaking truth to power that is being misused in some way, or it’s describing what’s happening in our country right now as we stand up to a conman who’s trying to regain power, the situation seems serious and invoking the spiritual warrior within by standing up for yourself and/or others, for what’s right and just, may need to happen.
Blessed Be
