- Patterns: Fire element is dominant, run on Wands
- Overall numerology: 21+4+10+3=38; 3+8=11 (Master number, awakening, enlightenment, illumination)
SUMMATION
With both Laguz and Fortuna Major, today’s reading centers on allowing the Higher Self to flow into your awareness to influence how you manifest success in your life. The overall numerology of the reading is 11, or the Master number for awakening, illumination, and enlightenment, which reinforces this idea.
The Fire element dominates the reading with a run on cards from the Suit of Wands. This can involve new opportunities, motivation, initiation, and expressions of creativity. The single card from Pentacles may define the direction (or outcome) of the reading.
The 4 of Wands describes coming together in reciprocity with someone else. That could either refer to a marriage or partnership with the partnership possibly referring to a business partner, or even the customers you may work for. Either way, it establishes a new structure or foundation that involves a partnership with someone else. Another interesting aspect of the card is the two crossed garlands that connect the four poles where the marriage ceremony likely took place. The X pattern is also the same as Gebo, the 7th rune from Elder Futhark, which describes balanced energy exchange, partnership, marriage, and reciprocity with others.
The 10 of Wands illustrates a man who is carrying 10 staffs walking in the direction of what may be his home. This card can indicate carrying a heavy burden, or it could be describing the work opportunities he’s bringing home to show his spouse (or family). If you turn the card on its side, the staffs remind me of a skewed presentation of Dagaz, the 23rd rune from the Elder Futhark that essentially describes the end of one phase and the beginning of another. In that way, it would reinforce the idea of establishing a new foundation or partnership and the potential success that follows.
Lastly, the 3 of Pentacles illustrates a mason working his trade while two people come by to admire his work or possibly hire him. So, we began with a marriage or partnership of some kind, moved on to the new opportunities that result from or at least increase the material security of that partnership, to how that manifests in the 3 of Pentacles. And working out in the open, he’s not afraid to have others see his work which implies integrity and honesty in what he has to offer and the quality of his work.
What brings everything together is the idea of awakening, illumination, and enlightenment offered by the reading’s overall numerology, and the rune Laguz which draws the Higher Self into your life, choices, and in this case, your material success. It defines how you express your talents to others and how you conduct yourself either as an independent business owner or if you’re working for someone else. In other words, if you express yourself with integrity and honor, your skills and experience can foster success, especially if your customers are happy with your work and refer your business to others.
