SUMMATION

Today’s reading focuses on the Lion’s Gate Portal of energy, which is at its strongest today. And since 2024 reduces to eight, we have an 8:8:8 portal effect. Reducing the three 8s further, a six overall numerology results which also happens to be the overall numerology for today’s reading.

The Lion’s Gate Portal is an alignment between the Sun in Leo, the star Sirius, Orion’s Belt, and the Earth and it’s open from July 28th to August 12th, but it is at its strongest impact today. It’s a time to invoke your higher power to move past problematic issues and let go of ego-based perceptions. It’s a day to manifest goals, create positive change in your life, and align in Source Presence. And if you look at the 8 turned on its side, you see the symbol for infinity and the fundamental connection between the soul and physical reality/ego.

Looking first at today’s runes, Gebo, the 7th rune from the Elder Futhark, represents the gift of reciprocity, the link between you and others, partnership, and marriage. Gebo is not only asking us to energetically align in our soul’s energy but to also energetically align with others. Acquisitio, today’s geomancy rune, signals gain or increase we experience from aligning with our soul’s purpose. So in that sense, Gebo represents soul alignment invoked into our experiences in physical reality or the transmuting of ego into Spirit.

Today’s cards include the 8 of Wands, The Fool, and The 9 of Wands. Beginning with The Fool, card zero from the Major Arcana, we have the undeveloped potential of the soul to manifest its reality on Earth. From there, the 8 of Wands aligns with today’s Lion’s Gate energy and shows eight staffs or poles moving quickly into the scene. The 8 of Wands can represent a lot of energy at once, or numerous things to be dealing with, or it can represent the energy of the Lion’s Gate Portal streaming into the soul’s awareness today. Lastly, the 9 of Wands represents the end of something that’s happened. The war is over, the man has been through the battle, and now it’s time to consider the impact of what’s occurred. And, in context with today’s Lion’s Gate Portal, we’ve used the Lion energy experienced with the 8 of Wands to solve issues and then with the 9 of Wands, we let go of their impact on our lives.

In a sense, then, today’s reading is asking us to use the Lion’s Gate energy to examine how we process our experiences. Are we doing that from the ego’s perspective or from the higher awareness the soul provides? Today’s powerful Lion’s Gate energy can help us examine what’s holding us back and refocus our attention on matters of Spirit and let go of the ego’s reaction to those experiences.

With this profound spiritual energy, we can manifest the world we want to see and turn our attention to the soul’s purpose of understanding and embracing love and light instead of the ego’s fear and darkness.
