SUMMATION
Today’s reading begins with two runes that completely oppose each other: Wunjo and Carcer. Wunjo represents joy, fellowship, and happiness while Carcer represents a negative mindset that keeps us imprisoned in emotions such as self-doubt and hate and beliefs that keep us separated from the fundamental reality of who we are as souls united in higher consciousness. However, with the overall numerology of one for the reading, it appears that we are ready to let go of emotions and beliefs that keep us stuck in that negative mindset.
Today’s cards are one from the Major Arcana: The Hanged Man, one from the Suit of Cups: the 2 of Cups, and one from the Suit of Swords: the 6 of Swords. Using The Hanged Man as the focus or guidance to the other two cards, card 12 from the Major Arcana suggests that we need to let go of any Carcer influence and surrender to higher awareness to embrace Wunjo in our lives.
From there, the 2 of Cups illustrates intentional healing between two people. It can also represent healing the masculine (projective) and feminine (receptive) polarity within to achieve a better emotional balance. We see the man step toward and reach out to the woman reflecting the decision to heal a situation that’s occurred between them. Essentially, the 2 of Cups counsels us to surrender to the higher consciousness energy of Wunjo to heal and embrace joy and fellowship with others.
Lastly, the 6 of Swords depicts at minimum a journey over water, however, I believe it expresses the deeper meaning of taking a shared path with others toward new perceptions. There’s a sense of purity in the winter aspect of the card where you leave behind perceptions that no longer serve, transmute ego into Spirit, and move on toward a new path with others.
A new beginning is possible today as you let go of ideas and beliefs that keep you imprisoned in negativity that is in the long run destructive to you and the relationships you have with others. Today’s reading suggests that healing needs to take place so a new shared journey can be embraced.
