As Above, So Below for Thursday, 19 September 2024
The reading notes for today’s reading are below. You’re welcome to watch the video here.
- Significator runes: Ehwaz (19th rune, intuitive bond, momentum, change, doorway, Merkaba, astral travel, travel, partnership, relationships, mutual end) and Fortuna Major (greater fortune)
- Cards: The Moon, 7 of Pentacles, 6 of Wands
- Patterns: Ehwaz numerology aligns with today’s day numerology (19)
- Overall numerology: Note: I forgot to do the overall numerology during the video. 19+18+7+6=50; 5+0=5 (change, protection, innovation, adaptability, freedom versus restriction)
SUMMATION
Ehwaz and Fortuna Major begin today’s reading by suggesting the intuitive or spiritual bond we intrinsically share with others is our greatest fortune. I noted that the numerology of Ehwaz (19) aligns with today’s date (19) and then forgot to do the overall numerology for the reading which is 5 which also shares the interpretation of change found in Ehwaz. 19 reduces to one suggesting new beginnings. So, this reading may reflect the idea of coming together in a way that represents both our greatest fortune as well as a new beginning in our lives.
Today’s cards are The Moon, 7 of Pentacles, and the 6 of Wands. Beginning with the Moon, we see reflections of balance throughout the card: the balance between dark and light represented by the dog (physical/ego consciousness) and the wolf (higher consciousness), the two towers on either side of the scene, and the path that winds between them up to the mountains in the distance. The Moon lights the scene while the crayfish coming out of the pond represents rebirth or shedding what no longer serves. The Moon represents our dreams, cycles, emotions, intuition, and the cyclical nature of life. But it also represents deception and illusion, possibly revealing such, as well as transformation, change, and awakening.
Relating The Moon to Ehwaz, are we beginning to realize the illusion we’ve been living under? Are we beginning to understand the true nature of who we are as souls and awakening to the fundamental truth that there is only the self and the other side of self and that any perceived separation is merely an illusion?
The 7 of Pentacles also reflects a type of balance where the farmer in the card is taking stock of what he has and what he still might need to carry him through the winter and to sell to others. With Ehwaz and Fortuna Major, we’re also asked to take stock of who we are to each other. The number seven reflects observation as well as the balance we strike within and with others.
Lastly, in the 6 of Wands, we see a man of means riding a horse with others walking alongside him. He appears to be coming back victorious from somewhere, possibly from a meeting of some kind, with a wreath on his head and one attached to his staff. All are going in the same direction in celebration of something positive that’s happened, with a connection that Ehwaz and Fortuna Major also illustrate.
Coming off the Full Moon, we have the chance to see things differently and reflect on who we truly are to each other. Are we going to recognize the spiritual bond we share and acknowledge that as our greatest fortune, or do we live in fear and doubt of each other? In addition to the Full Moon bringing light and truth to our awareness, the Fall Equinox on Sunday asks us to come together in balance with each other, embrace the higher truth of unity consciousness, and reject the fear-based illusion of separation.
