SUMMATION
Eihwaz and Laetitia begin today’s reading suggesting drawing down higher awareness to manifest joy in our lives. Eihwaz is a powerful as above so below rune that assists us in invoking higher awareness into our perceptions, interactions, behavior, and mindset, etc. while Laetitia describes joy and positivity and strong intuition. Together they counsel us to be mindful of lower vibrational thinking and visualize the vortex nature of Eihwaz replacing that lower vibration with a higher vibratory feeling of joy and happiness. The overall numerology of seven for today’s reading adds another dimension to that idea by suggesting that we don’t take the bait or react emotionally to deception that only serves the deceiver. And, last but not least, there is a 10/10 energetic portal or gateway happening today that opens the door to new experiences. The Master number 11 is also present (depending upon how you see the 10/10) suggesting awakening and enlightenment.
Beginning with The Moon, this 18th card from the Major Arcana suggests deception may be in play and awakening to a new balanced perspective is necessary. The overall numerology of seven relates to this idea by allowing truth to settle out before reacting emotionally and believing an illusion. So if it seems like something is happening in your life today that you’re unsure about, observe the situation and give it time to settle out, do your own research, and be clear on what the actual truth is so you don’t respond in a way that reinforces the lie or deception itself. Keep your own vibration so high that you don’t automatically believe the unbelievable.
Next, although the 10 of Swords looks awful, it really isn’t. Although ten swords are piercing the person’s back, his face is turned toward the light. In a sense, he’s letting go of perceptions that don’t serve him and awakening to a new truth. We see a similar process happening in the 8 of Swords where the woman is bound by her perceptions or by the perceptions of others and she turns off all of that to go within to understand the truth from a higher perspective. The 9 of Swords follows where the individual on the card is plagued by nightmares that cause him to put everything into perspective. Then, the 10 of Swords lets it all go to awaken to a new higher truth.
Lastly, the 2 of Wands has us looking to choose a new direction or new opportunity in our lives. The merchant holds a globe in his hand suggesting that all things are possible while he appears to stand in a doorway of his own making. Again, this may be the new path that can form after you let go of perceptions that are illusion-based and embrace a higher truth.
Essentially today’s reading is asking each one of us to observe before reacting to something that may in fact be a lie or a deliberate deception by someone else. Allowing higher awareness to guide our perceptions or mindset can provide some protection from falling prey to someone (or a group) who seems hell-bent on deceiving us. Because when we all do that, a new path opens where anything is possible.
