The reading notes for today’s reading are below. You’re welcome to watch the video here.
- Significator runes: Inguz (22nd rune, the seed, potential, inner focus, grounding, a concentrated point of singularity that gives way to manifestation) and Carcer (self-imprisonment, outmoded beliefs, isolation)
- Cards: The Fool, 9 of Swords, The Chariot
- Patterns: a run on Major Arcana cards; two Master numbers contained within the reading (22, 11)
- Overall numerology: 22+9+7=38; 3+8=11 (Master number, enlightenment, illumination, awakening)
SUMMATION
Inguz and Carcer begin today’s reading with opposite energies again impacting the reading. Carcer appeared in last Thursday’s reading, so we’re still dealing with self-deception or remaining imprisoned by our beliefs. Inguz represents the seed or the energy of creation, and the potential to manifest something new in our lives, whereas Carcer resists that potential, especially if it doesn’t conform to our existing beliefs. So, essentially, we’re looking at two kinds of focus in today’s reading, one that reflects higher awareness (Inguz), and one that reflects the ego’s hold on our perceptions or beliefs (Carcer). In addition, when looking at the overall numerology of eleven for the reading, the Master number for awakening to higher truth reinforces the Master 22 numerology for Inguz and the emphasis on manifesting from higher awareness, so the energy is there today to let go of beliefs that aren’t based in reality or truth. All that needs to happen is to open the cage you’re in and consider other possibilities.
For today’s cards, I drew two cards from the Major Arcana (soul-archetype cards), The Fool and The Chariot, along with the 9 of Swords. Much like Inguz, The Fool represents undeveloped potential. However, The Fool (representing the soul) also trusts in its own higher awareness or consciousness while taking its leap into physical reality. The Chariot represents balance, and in this case, a balanced perspective. The Chariot balances light and dark within as well as choosing when to take control and when to drop resistance or surrender to the moment. Together, The Fool and The Chariot represent principles found in higher consciousness and suggest that a rebalancing needs to happen where we reexamine our perceptions and beliefs from that perspective and stay open to new ideas that may not align with our current perceptions.
Lastly, the 9 of Swords aligns with Carcer and feeling imprisoned by our beliefs and perceptions. It’s the nightmare we wake up from where we feel the pressure of past perceptions that are keeping us in a place of the ego’s choosing. However, there’s also a sense of ordering with the swords that are stacked on top of each other that also reinforces and preserves the ego’s hold on our perceptions.
Each one of us chooses to listen to higher awareness or be persuaded by the ego to believe one thing or another. Higher awareness suggests rather than believing someone is telling us the truth to do our due diligence, our research, before believing someone who may have a personal agenda at work. Instead of believing the lie or the manipulation, step outside any preconceived notions you might have, no matter how uncomfortable that might be, and consider new ideas that may not conform to what you already believe. You may discover that it’s time to take that leap of faith and let yourself out of the ego’s hold on your perceptions and awaken to a new understanding or truth.
