SUMMATION
Fehu, the 1st rune from the Elder Futhark, and Fortuna Major begin today’s reading with the idea of growth and manifesting a successful outcome. Fehu means cattle and wealth and how you transact your experiences in a way that brings growth and success. Fortuna Major expands on that by its focus on achievement, reliance on one’s own experience, and ego issues, including the potential to micromanage others. The overall numerology for today’s reading is nine representing endings, completion, spirituality, and generosity suggesting invoking higher awareness in your transactions with others.
Looking at today’s cards, I’ll begin first with the two cards from the Major Arcana. The Moon suggests rebirth, transformation, and finding an emotional balance. Comparing The Moon to Strength, the next card in the reading, Strength describes taming the wild (or ego) within, with both cards requiring inner strength as well as higher awareness to transform the emotional balance it takes to control the ego. Both cards express the as above so below interaction between higher awareness and ego and the inner strength to transform your emotional balance and perceptions.
The Queen of Pentacles appears to be the outcome of the transformation described by both The Moon and Strength cards. Here we see an older woman in authority who is kind, reflective, generous, and wise. She sits in her garden holding a large coin in her hands as she reflects on her success and how that success has created material security in her life.
However, with Fehu and Fortuna Major defining the reading, The Moon suggests reevaluating your emotional balance, or the balance between the projective/masculine side of self with the receptive/feminine side so you can transform or improve your transactions/interactions with others to achieve the success you’re looking for. The Strength card describes keeping your ego in check, understanding that a greater purpose exists, and then allowing higher awareness to inform your interactions with others.
Today’s reading can apply to business or financial-related transactions, or it could also apply to how you transact your experiences more broadly. If you’re opening a business or you already have one, consider how you transact your business with others and how willing you are to reevaluate those interactions. The reading could also apply to a new job or position, or it could apply to how you relate to others in your personal life. But irrespective of how the reading resonates, the underlying message is one of reevaluation and the transformation that can occur when you’re able to set aside the ego and its hold on pre-conceived notions and invoke higher awareness into all that you do.
