Outside or Inside, It’s A Matter of Focus
Am I on the outside looking inward, or is it the other way around? All of my life I’ve felt on the outside of things. Until I understood what it meant to be an empath, I felt as if I didn’t belong anywhere. Life can be so confusing if empaths spend their time reacting to and absorbing other people’s energy. We don’t always know where we begin and others leave off. Sometimes our very existence is so wrapped up in the emotion of others that we couldn’t remain calm if our lives depended upon it. And then we’re a bundle of vibrating chaos.
Knowing that I create my own reality, the responsibility for how I see things lies solely with me. I can choose to feel on the outside of everything, or I can choose to emanate from within. Observe, don’t react. This becomes a mantra for most empaths. I’m not here in this life to live according to another’s perspective. It’s my perspective that matters.
I love thinking about point of origin. When I experience awareness, it’s like a mini big bang. Everything moves outward. With the premise that we’re extensions of Source Energy, what we create, in theory anyway, emanates outward. So how could any of us truly be on the outside looking in when each of us is in a continual emanation outward?
We may live in a three dimensional world, but we’re far from three dimensional beings. As extensions of Source, we have the ultimate power to create what we experience. It doesn’t mean that troublesome experiences won’t happen, but that we can choose to maintain our own focus within them. Lose that focus, and we’re too caught up in the business of others. Lose that focus and our worth becomes decided by others. Lose that focus and our happiness is dependent upon others.
But if we maintain our focus, we’re no longer stuck in resistance. All things become possible. We’re never on the outside looking in. Feeling that way gives in to illusion. We just need to stay in our own alignment, our own lane, if you will. Then everything is viewed from the perspective of Source Energy, where nothing and no one is ever on the outside. For it’s that truth we are here to remember.
