SUMMATION
Change appears to be the keyword in today’s reading, which involves drawing down higher awareness (Ansuz) and letting go of fear-based negative self-talk (Tristitia) so you can make the desired change.
There’s an interesting pattern here as well with the overall five numerology. You also see that same five when you consider the five between the 2 and 3 of Pentacles. But that’s not all. Temperance, as the 14th card from the Major Arcana, also reduces to a five numerology.
The cards begin with the 3 of Pentacles where a mason works his trade or craft while two people stop by to admire his work. This may represent a position that you want to have but the negative self-talk suggested by Tristitia is preventing you from achieving. However, by balancing will with emotion and grounding that balance in practicality and Temperance, you’re able to let go of the Trisitia influence on your perceptions and weigh out your options in the 2 of Pentacles in a measured and practical manner.
Anytime we see a run on one suit or another, it indicates an emphasis on the qualities of that suit. Each suit reflects an element, and in the case of Pentacles, that element is Earth which describes our physical reality: work, home, education, wellness, material security, finances, and money). The other run or pattern is with the five numerology signaling change and protection along with innovation and variety. It could be that a negative mindset is preventing you from looking for a position or career that would not only represent a positive change, but could also bring you a higher paycheck and more material security.
Additionally, if you turn the 2 of Pentacles slightly to the right, the lemniscate (figure eight) that holds both pentacles resembles the number eight which suggests not only leadership and strength, but also material recognition.
Releasing yourself from negative self-talk allows you to believe in yourself, it could act as a catalyst to move in a new direction. You could begin a new job search, or you could already have been interviewing and now you have a couple of job offers to choose one. Or, you may approach your employer in your current job to discuss additional skills you have that can benefit the business.
Irrespective of the situation the reading describes, change seems inevitable no matter how that manifests. However, the real key to that manifestation is allowing higher awareness to guide your perceptions, mindset, and choices.
