SUMMATION
Gebo and Albus begin today’s reading by indicating a higher level of balance and wisdom. Gebo expresses higher awareness outward in all directions, so you integrate with others on a soul level, while Albus describes the sage and expressing yourself with higher wisdom or clarity. The overall numerology for the reading is four, or practicality, foundation, structure, and grounding. This suggests an as above, so below flow of energy that grounds us all in higher consciousness.
Today’s cards included The Moon, the King of Wands, and The Lovers Reversed. Beginning with the King of Wands, I’m looking at him from both a personal perspective and a societal one. If the King represents the querent (you), then he could be counseling you to express your knowledge and warrior spirit to understand and take action regarding any deception you might be experiencing today, indicated by The Moon and the lack of discernment or balance indicated by The Lovers card in its reversed position. Instead of seeing yourself in others, and understanding the unity you share, you, as the King, might be more focused on your own needs and then be willing to manipulate, gaslight, or deceive others to get what you want or to exert power over others.
From a societal perspective, the King may represent the individual in power who seeks to harm others due to his need for power and control. Any integration is lost on this person because he’s more interested in gaslighting the country into losing everything, instead giving it all to himself and others like him. Because the King is looking toward the past, he cannot see the damage he will do not only to the citizens of this country, but also to the world. Instead of hearing the Angel’s message, his demonic intent suppresses the Angel’s voice, literally standing the Angel on its head. In this case, the King depends on The Moon’s deception to act as a veil to his true intentions.
As with last Thursday’s reading, today’s reading has a strong soul component with both Major Arcana cards and the two runes, Gebo and Albus. In today’s reading, as the King, you need to understand any deception or lack of integration you’re experiencing from a higher perspective and transform that into an action that can be taken to protect your foundation or structure. Even if the King represents the individual in power over the US, the same message of understanding is still relevant. So, whether it’s on a more personal level or a societal level, today’s reading is asking you to see the situation from a balanced perspective and from higher wisdom before taking the action that’s necessary to protect your foundation, structure, and life.
