SUMMATION
Gebo and Albus are today’s runes, which is interesting because they were Monday’s runes as well. This tells me that invoking higher wisdom to remain balanced in your reactions and decisions is important over the entire week. The overall numerology of one describes new beginnings, so some changes in your life may take you in a new direction, whether good or bad.
For the cards, I drew The Fool, the 8 of Pentacles, and The Emperor, suggesting all the hard work you’ve put in to create the material security you need now and in the future may be changing (think stock market volatility and crashing), and whatever leap of faith you may take or trust you have in the process needs to be tempered with pragmatism, realism, and discipline. Contacting a financial advisor may be recommended so you understand the greater picture. From there, invoking higher awareness and wisdom will be necessary so you don’t give in to the ego’s fear response and make decisions that are impulsive and not helpful in the long run.
Again, the fact that both Gebo and Albus are the same runes today and last Monday may be important in that they are asking you to act from a higher perspective or higher wisdom. The two cards from the Major Arcana reinforce the soul component that both Gebo and Albus suggest. It’s clear that whatever unexpected situations you may be dealing with have something to do with maintaining your material security, and with the stock market falling and the tariffs potentially increasing the cost of whatever you’ll buy going forward, your material security is threatened. And, it makes no sense to react impulsively, otherwise you could be making your situation worse than it otherwise might be. Still, all of this is out of your (and everyone else’s) hands because the powers that be are making decisions that prevent you from protecting your financial security or future. So, while whatever you can do to make decisions in a reasonable and practical way may not replace the funds you’ve lost either through the stock market or at the grocery store, etc., in the foreseeable future, you may be able to make practical choices that offset some of the damage.
