Completion and Rebirth ~ Truth and Clarity Revealed

For today’s tarot reading, I chose the Druidcraft Tarot deck. This deck is larger than my other decks and there are times when my hands don’t cooperate with shuffling, so I love when I can use it for a reading. As with the Thoth Tarot, Druidcraft Tarot changes some of the card names to reflect a Druid perspective. Cernunnos replaces The Devil; The Fferyllt replaces Temperance; The Lord and Lady replace The Emperor and Empress respectively; and, The High Priest replaces The Hierophant card. I have Druid heritage, so this deck has a special place in my heart. I chose a three-card spread to look at influences for today.

Overall, completion followed by rebirth is the focus of today’s tarot reading. Wands reflect Elemental Fire and catalytic presence, while the Four indicates stability and limitation. With the 4 of Wands, celebration is in order. We’ve built a solid foundation, and we’re reaping rewards gained from hard work. There’s a sense of completion for a job well done with this card, In addition to a feeling of sanctuary, the four rods surrounding a fire suggest contained energy or perhaps a structure to the influence.

The Queen of Swords sits atop a hill on her throne, confident and gracious. She uses her powerful intellect to accurately assess situations, giving sound advice to pave the way forward. The Queen is intensely intuitive, perceptive and assertive and understands the need to let go of what no longer serves. Her individualistic nature prefers quiet solitude to foolish endeavors.

In the final position sits the only Trump card in the spread. Rebirth, also known as Judgment and Aeon in other decks. Here we see truth revealed as a result of letting go of the past. A change in consciousness has occured, an awakening of sorts.  This card also suggests that although more reflection may be in order, we’re coming out of the darkness and into the light.

I like this tarot reading. It has both completion and the forward momentum of something new. Although more information and reflection may be needed, we’re on our way to new awareness and experiences.
