Flowing Into Happiness ~ Rune & Tarot For 16 Nov 2016
Raidho and the 9 of Cups comprise today’s rune and tarot reading. Water springs forth from nine lotus blossoms into the cups below, each one flowing to the next. Happiness is overflowing with this card of Elemental Water. Cups indicates our emotional presence, and with this card, we feel happy and fulfilled.
The fifth rune of the Elder Futhark and a rune of Elemental Air, our soul’s journey is felt with Raidho, whether it be of an inner or outer nature. Raidho tells us that in life, our process is as important as our goals. Our intellectual presence is felt with Raidho as we direct our energy in a specific direction in rhythmic harmony with others for we are not alone on our journey. We find our true purpose with Raidho with justice and order our guide.
I’ve always considered myself a process-oriented person as opposed to goal-oriented. It’s not that I don’t finish what I start, but that I enjoy the journey more than the outcome. Flow is easily seen in the 8 of Cups as water flows from one cup to the next in a balanced pattern. With Raidho flow is implied with the idea of travel or journey and its rhythmic, cyclical motion. Raidho expects us to know when to take control and when to trust in the natural unfolding of our process or journey, in a sense striking the right balance between our intellect and our emotions.
The numerology of the reading is 5, or change, and what is one’s process or journey if not unfolding change? And when we’re unsure of what’s ahead, it’s best to drop resistance and trust your own process. Observe instead of react because nothing is as it seems. Allow the voices of disharmony to to become their own circular firing squad. You have better things to do.
Essentially our journey depends on where we focus our attention. It’s one thing to notice what’s going on around us, but quite another to create an energy channel to any of it. Where we put our attention matters if we’re to experience the overflowing happiness of the 9 of Cups. For many of us, the recent election was unnerving and surreal, and it’s easy to become caught up in fear over what might happen to all of us. But if we keep our focus, our attention, on what might happen, we ignore the control we have over how we feel at any given moment. If we stay true to our own creative process, choosing happiness and joy over fear and terror, then our collective intention brings peace and harmony to the greater collective consciousness. Focus on what the new folks want, and before we know it, we’ll be circling the drain right there with them.
It’s not that we draw this energy to us, but that we move our vibration into that lower vibratory energy. It’s there that we stand in resistance, unable to break our focus from everything we find so upsetting, giving control of our happiness to people who couldn’t care less about any of us.
We have to decide how much energy to add to an already bizarre situation. It’s natural to want to keep abreast of what’s going on, but it may be best to limit how much energy we give to it. We need to spend our days looking for ways to be happy.
Because we deserve that happiness and they deserve nothing.
Blessed Be
