Transformation ~ Rune & Tarot for 23 Nov 2016
I love the Death card in any tarot deck. In today’s rune and tarot reading, Death, the 13th card of the Major Arcana from the DruidCraft tarot, depicts the Cailleach, the Goddess in Her Crone aspect, as well as Ceridwen, the Goddess of the Moon. She stands over the cauldron, skull gently held in her hands, scythe hanging from her side. A snake suspended behind her looks on as smoke rises from her cauldron of rebirth. Transformation is at hand with new opportunities dawning as the sun rises behind the dolman off in the distance.
With her spell, the Crone transforms dying into becoming as she clears away the past allowing the future to take hold. She lets go of what no longer serves knowing bright prospects are ahead. While the card can indicate a physical death, more often than not it means transformation from one state to another.
Ansuz, the 4th rune of the Elder Futhark is considered Odin’s rune, the mouthpiece of a god. A rune of Elemental Air, Ansuz assists us in gaining wisdom and increases our magickal presence. The Mind rune, Ansuz increases intelligence and provides clarity. In short, Ansuz helps us channel our Higher Self in an effort to see all angles, all perspectives, invoking our divinity within. Ansuz promotes eloquent communication and raises spiritual consciousness.
The numerology of the reading reduces to 4 for Death and 4 for Ansuz. If left there, we have the influence of Gaia and Elemental energies. Added together we reach 8 or the influence of or focus upon practical matters. Discipline, protection, and structure are the influences of both 4 and 8.
The Death card and the numerology of the reading would appear to suggest that our very structure or foundation is about to transform. Our voices will be raised in a effort to bring truth to bear as the forces of darkness gather around. Coming together in one unified expression, one unified voice, the divinity of our Collective Consciousness will speak truth to power, overcoming deceit and oppression.
The wolf is at the door. But the wise Crone derives her strength from her Source Presence, her will powerful and true. She gathers her wits about her, and casts her spell, her intention rising with the drifting smoke from her cauldron. Her grace and wisdom come from a life well lived. She sees difficult times ahead, her desire, ability, and power to transmute and transform stronger than what’s coming.
We must raise our voices in unison in the days to come. Love always trumps hate. Always. Together we can transform hate into love and prevent the dark forces from destroying all that we have built. The confusion felt by those who were deceived by the con artist soon to be in control will be replaced by anger for sure, but instead of letting that anger fester into something darker, the better option is to see him not as the commander-in-chief, but the deceiver-in-chief, raising their voices along with the rest.
The change he inspires is not the change that’s needed. Love has always been the answer.
Blessings to our one family as we celebrate tomorrow’s Thanksgiving. We’re so much stronger together.
