Illumination Through Surrender And Trust ~ Rune & Tarot for 1 Dec 2016
The Lovers, the 6th card from the Thoth tarot stand before the Hermit as Priest, in balanced partnership. The Orphic egg below reflects the children born from their union. Lady Frieda Harris includes both Cain and Abel below while Cupid hovers above between Lilith and Eve, opposites in balance in her beautiful expression of love and collaboration.
Duality is expressed throughout The Lovers, from the duality found in form itself to the duality of Self. The only true duality is between physical and nonphysical aspects of Self, but we play out that feeling of separation while in bodies nevertheless.
Raidho reflects its own sort of partnership, the gentle rhythm between horse and rider. Synchronous motion, along with process as its own goal, are felt with this 5th rune of the Elder Futhark. Raidho assists us in finding our true purpose in life and to align with the collective consciousness.
Both The Lovers and Raidho are governed by Elemental Air, reflecting our intellectual presence in the world. We experience our Self in others as we come together in harmony. We also find our inner balance with both The Lovers and Raidho as we surrender to our natural inner rhythm, in trust as our true purpose unfolds.
The numerology is 6 and 5, which reduces to 11, a Master number for illumination. Like other recent rune and tarot readings, this one suggests that we find our illumination when going within. As decisions arise, such as with the one to marry, we trust our inner awareness to make the correct choice. As journey is also reflected in Raidho, perhaps the reading is asking us to follow our heart and take that leap of faith in partnership with another.
A simplified interpretation might be that we are taking some time away with a loved one, or beginning a new relationship. Whether it’s either of those or the journey we take to self-awareness, we surrender to and trust the process, deriving wisdom and illumination from Source Presence.
Blessings to all!
