Separation and the Drama That Results

Drama is interesting.  It’s the ego’s expression of “self”.  It has to be entertaining or it won’t draw us in the way it does. It’s what keeps us tied to the physical world..almost like the glue that holds everything together.  Unfortunately, it’s also responsible for all the nonsense in the world today.  Money, power, control, it’s all about drama in the end.

Reality TV, soap operas, they all represent our addiction to drama.  We’re curious.  Nothing wrong with that.  We want to know what’s going on with people.  It can be an acceptable escape from the drama of our lives. But where should our focus really be?  If we engage in drama, we believe what we see.  That becomes our truth.  But if all of this is an illusion designed to help us grow in some fashion, why wouldn’t we try to see what’s going on around us another way?  For drama to take hold, we have to believe it. Otherwise, we’d pay it no mind. Staying in the flow would mean just that.  Oh, we might notice what’s going on, but we’d never engage in it.  It has nothing to do with our spiritual growth. We only think it does.

Duality exists here.  But duality doesn’t mean separation.  That was never meant to happen. Manifestations appear from time to time to remind us of our essential oneness. Some of us listen, some of us don’t. Realistically, we only wanted to experience duality to see various aspects of ourselves relating to other aspects of ourselves. How it all integrates together.  Not only can we do that without seeing ourselves as separate from each other, clearly we must do so. Separation is what causes all the drama.  It becomes an “us versus them” experience here instead of just “us”.  We end up judging each other, providing the basis for the drama.  Because it’s not really about what someone does, but how we view it. We give everything the meaning it has.  We can choose to get caught up or not.

Another election is around the corner. We see evidence all around us of separation at play.  On the one hand, the more conservative among us appear at least to believe very strongly in the “us versus them” principle.  They won’t fund anything and regardless of reality, they circumvent their own issues if the President supports them. They would rather tank the country than allow for unity. Last I looked, unity was part of who we are as a country.  Only the liberals seem to understand that. We have a Supreme Court that seems to hate women and ruled that corporations have the same rights as individuals.  These people are supposed to be the best jurists we have. They should be able to look at the law and rule dispassionately.  But these days, not so much. I listen to all the hostility out there and I simply cannot believe that it’s happening.  It makes absolutely no sense.  What on earth would these people do if all this vitriol were levied at them?  It feels like class warfare where a stranglehold is an understatement.  At some point, this will all go away.  But until then, it’s going to be a bumpy ride.

We’re all family. We’re all extensions of Source Energy, or God Energy.  We need to start acting like it.  We need to embrace each other, elevate each other. Understand that there is no “other”.  There is only us..united in God. All minds are joined in Perfect Oneness. For Heaven to exist here, we have no choice but to understand this simple idea from A Course in Miracles: “Nothing real can be threatened. Nothing unreal exists. Herein lies the peace of God”. If we don’t see our brothers and sisters as one with us, then we’re not living in reality.  The physical world challenges us with all sorts of issues having nothing to do with our true reality.  Staying in the present moment, without the influence of the past or the future, can help us deal with that.  But this also means no more judgment.  Judgment means we’re making an illusion real.  Seeing the Holy Spirit in each one of us instead the illusion that presents itself is the answer.  When we do that, we realize that there’s nothing to judge and therefore nothing to forgive.  The Course tells us that “we need do nothing” because our reality hasn’t changed. The Holy Spirit isn’t a separate entity..it’s us..collectively.  It’s our reality. None of these things would be happening if we weren’t in physical form. Since that’s temporary, we might consider living our lives here as we do with Source.  Everything we see around us is a projection of collective consciousness. Then we get stuck in the drama, instead of seeing it for what it is, and refusing to be swayed by whatever asinine idea the ego offers.  Our power lies in extending love and unity. Anything else is illusory and solves nothing.

In the end, we’ll go forward together.  We really have no choice in that because truth will always win out. Physicality will end and we will experience our energies in their natural form, integrated in the love of Source.  But why wait for the end?  Why not experience our true Oneness now?  How cool would that be!
