Earth Magic Oracle casting – The Cross spread
I really like Earth Magic Oracle cards. Created by Dr. Steven D. Farmer, Ph.D., they always give me something interesting to consider. Today, I chose The Cross spread, not really for guidance on any specific problem or issue, but more for whatever Gaia wishes to convey. Elemental energies contained within the message of each card offer insights which bring us into alignment with Source.
Card #1 reflects the issue at hand. #2 reflects subconscious influences. Card #3 indicates external influences. #4 suggests what may be necessary for a solution to be found. And lastly, card #5 reflects the resolution.
In position number one we find the Tree, a reflection of Grounding. It suggests that perhaps we’ve been scattered in our thinking and that we need grounding. Visualization works well for this as we breathe in white light from our crown chakra, sending it downward, cleansing our chakras as it moves ever downward through our bodies, out our feet, and into the Earth. Visualize your energy “roots” connecting with the energy of Blessed Gaia. As above, so below.
Our Ancestors and their influences are reflected in the second position. Everything is reflected in the crystalline grid surrounding Gaia. All our memories, everything we’ve done while in physical form. As we are One, all minds are joined and through relaxing into being, we can experience our collective consciousness. Sit quietly, allowing your quantum field of energy to extend outward, staying fully in the present moment, and simply allow that awareness to emerge.
Dawn reflects New Beginnings and sits in the third position of the spread. As an external influence, we never really know what’s around the bend, so with the dawn of a new day, possibilities may come to light that we hadn’t considered before. Pay attention.
In the fourth position, we have the Mountain, which reflects the inner Strength we all possess if we don’t let reactions get in the way. Remaining steady and vigilant will allow the awareness of solutions to come without the chaos we typically create to interfere with the process.
In the final position, where a solution is suggested, Perspective is represented by the Milky Way. Gaining perspective when achieving an outcome is certainly ideal. Taking a step back from the problem and becoming the observer is typically what’s necessary to gain the clarity needed to find solutions. I think Gaia is hoping we learn something along the way.
So, in sum, the casting seems to suggest that we need to focus on what’s most important: staying grounded and connected to each other. It reminds us to be mindful of our heritage, which is as One, and to have the inner strength to embrace possibilities without judgment so that solutions can be found along with a new perspective which benefits all.
Given what’s going on in the Middle East right now, the casting is prescient to say the least. Conflict like this gets us less than nowhere. Let’s remember we’re One Family sooner than later this time..
