Grow Up? Call A Cop? Why Don’t You All Fuck Off…Now.

Orrin Hatch told survivors today to “grow up” while the other day, Lindsay Graham told another to “call a cop” to report her assault. No fucking sensitivity. No amount of simple, fucking compassion. Nothing. All of which reinforces the belief of survivors that we won’t be heard or taken seriously. It doesn’t matter. Get over it.

Right.

Well, they can all fuck off. Right now.

The orange asshole is now suggesting that men and boys are no longer safe from false accusations. Fuck that. The number of false accusations pales in comparison to those accusations that are never taken seriously or are never heard at all.

Sexual assault stays with a person forever. Especially when no justice is possible and when time has given way to an acquittal that was never determined in a court of law. But the effect is the same. The predator gets away with a level of personal destruction that affects us forever. And now the little conservative snowflakes in Congress want a bro on the Supreme Court. A story finally emerges that affects that and all of a sudden the histrionics coming out of these pathetic fuckwads drown out any stories told by survivors. Boo fucking hoo.

Six background checks supposedly found nothing, but then yesterday, it was suggested by Democrats that in fact, that’s not exactly true. This was announced after the committee tweeted that the six background checks found absolutely nothing regarding sexual assault or drinking problems. The Democrats quickly responded, not so fast…there was something there. They didn’t identify what it was but alerted us to the lie nevertheless.

The orange asshole also mocked Dr. Ford in a manner that was so disgusting that he should be tossed out on his ass just for those comments alone. Worse yet, people cheered, in effect another assault on a woman who only wanted to speak her truth. We can choose to believe her or not but she didn’t strike me as someone who would actually want to sit for hours in front of a Senate committee answering all manner of personal questions regarding a sexual assault. And bless her, she did it while a female sex crimes prosecutor interrogated her instead of each Republican Senator asking her questions as did the Democrats on the committee.

His ridiculous claims that she remembered nothing were just another pathetic attempt to distract from the truth. It was low class and demeaned not just Dr. Ford but the presidency itself. It was only a matter of time before he would no longer be able to contain himself. And he let his venom spew like the self-described snake he so often claims to be.

And then I turned on the television today and saw women protesting in hallways at the Capitol, raising their voices and signs, and cooperating with the Capitol Police as one by one they were arrested. They’re there, en masse, speaking truth to power, demanding that Brett Kavanaugh is not seated on the Supreme Court.

Additionally, survivors who have never told their stories are doing so, emboldened by the stories of others and by their need to finally tell the truth about their experiences. So I can understand the confusion of these men on the Senate Judiciary Committee. I grew up with people like these men, who believed that boys will be boys and if someone puts his hands on us, we’re to get over it.

I even remember a really stupid older man with whom I did business who one day told me a so-called rape joke. It’s a familiar one. I won’t repeat it other than to recount the final line…might as well lay back and enjoy it.

Yep. This is the bullshit women have to listen to from fuckwad men who are as clueless and stupid as they come.

It’s about as stupid as the conservative asshole who thought the best way to keep from being raped is to hold an aspirin between our knees. In other words, if we didn’t spread our legs, it wouldn’t happen. Is that really what men like these believe? Is that really how they think rape happens? Because women spread their legs?

Fuck that shit.

Unfortunately, that’s the impression Senate Republicans on the Judiciary Committee are conveying to every survivor in the country. But thank the goddess they’re stupid enough to speak this bullshit out loud. Because we hear it. We ALL hear it. And we’re not going to put with you and your bullshit any longer.

November is coming. We are many. And we will vote.
