Somewhat Daily Tarot and Rune for 11 October 2018

Today’s card began with the 3 of Pentacles and then progressed to the 8 of Swords for further information. Three indicates a mind/body/Spirit alignment and other integrated and catalytic triplicities. In the first card, we see a man practicing his craft while two other people look on. They appear to be interacting with each other, the two either complimenting his work or perhaps engaging him in further employment. Progression and mastery are also interpretations of this card.

But I wanted to know more, so I drew another card, the 8 of Swords. This card is telling us to allow thoughts to flow unhindered as we see a woman, bound both visually and physically, while 8 swords surround her. She is blocked by her own thought process with too much coming in on her at once. Essentially, this card is admonishing us to get out of the way of our own thoughts and to allow our creativity to flow.

Next, I drew Laguz from the rune bag. As the 21st rune of the Elder Futhark, Laguz numerologically is a three, aligning well with the creative message of the 3 of Pentacles. It tells us to allow creativity to flow, mind/body/Spirit in perfect alignment, to achieve our greatest success.

I chose to look at the numerology as 1, 11, and 11, so new beginnings from illumination. I also discussed combining the two 11’s to arrive at 22, another Master number, considered the Cosmic Builder. And in truth, this aligns well with the 3 of Pentacles.
