Lunar Transits ~ 6 Dec 2018
In looking at today’s lunar transits we have a New Moon which is currently making use of Sagittarius’s adventuresome influence. So, expand your horizons and explore some new directions. In the 4th House, it’s a time to focus on home and family. Clean house, organize, or just take some time for yourself. Today is a good day to just relax. Support from friends and family are felt today especially if you’ve been feeling stressed so don’t be afraid to ask for what you need today.
You may also experience some sensitivity or irritability today with Mars’s influence. Acknowledge any feelings that might come up and send them on their way. You’re having too good of a day to overreact to anything or anyone. So, check in with your own alignment to avoid any unnecessary upset. If you’re feeling triggered, take a moment to align and find a neutral stance, or take a walk. Adopt a live and let live approach when dealing with sensitive issues to avoid any self-defeating reactions today.
If performing a New Moon ritual or any magickal workings today (Thursday), you have the influence of both expansive and adventurous Sagittarius and the planet Jupiter assisting. Magickal workings and rituals for new beginnings, healing, and rebirth are often performed on the New Moon.
If you begin your ritual or magickal working before the actual time of the New Moon, you can take advantage of the Crone phase before the Maiden reappears. Go within, align in Goddess Presence, and allow that which no longer serves to slip away. As with the Full Moon’s Maiden, Mother, and Crone triple aspect over a three-day period, we experience the same on the New Moon, only sort of in reverse: the Crone giving way to the Maiden who finds fulfillment in the Mother perhaps?
Additionally, the Moon is currently in its 20th Mansion of Abnahaya influencing the taming of wild animals, increasing restriction, and compels an individual to a particular place. As always, use your own best interpretation of how the Mansions apply to your particular working.
Our lovely Moon moves out of Sagittarius tomorrow, so I’ll be back again to look at influences for the next lunar period.
